I currently work in Victoria, London at John Lewis' Head Office as a Web Product Launch Assistant, which relies heavily on writing copy for branded products and launching them as apart of the Online Operations team. In the evenings I complete work as as intern for a Fashion and Pop Culture magazine; Fruk Magazine, based in London, covering pop culture, fashion and music articles on a daily basis.
I am a recent graduate from Nottingham Trent University having attained a 2:1 BA (Hons) Print Journalism degree - an NCTJ accredited course. Since graduating have also worked as a Copywriter for a fashion and photography agency and as a Dance Teacher for the Peterborough City Council, helping with youth projects for young girls. I aspire to be an author and a life coach and I have work experience in magazines, web content editing and blogging - covering fun and light-hearted articles to the emotional and intriguing. I have a passion for reading, fitness and nutrition, and dance and believe strongly in personal development. My end game goal is to become a life coach and best-selling author so follow my journey. Here you can keep up to date with the latest posts and more! I am undergoing turning my blog www.kellywhybrow.com into a website and hope to create a YouTube channel and eventually work on a book. I also hope to network and work with many other of you creatives! Sometimes we think our story isn't as impressive as the next person’s, our influence isn't as strong, but if you’re open to lessons, there is one around every corner. It’s not our ability to listen but our ability to implement from what we've heard and to challenge our own understanding. I always thought I would have to be at a certain status to make a difference, but 50% of the success is just showing up. We have to have the humility to seek mentors and stand on the shoulders of giants – those before us. We also have to have the determination and belief to know when we seek the right knowledge and energy, we too can be successful and be a ‘giant’ for the generation that shall follow.
