WHAT TO DO JUST BEFORE ANSWERING EXAM QUESTIONS.
Relaxing the mind:
Many students start answering as soon as they receive a question paper. This is a wrong strategy.
First and foremost, relax the mind. The initial fear should be eliminated. To do that, do one or all of the following exercises:
Say a quick prayer. Ask for guidance. It will boost confidence and increase self belief.
Take a deep breathe in and out several times while your eyes are closed.
Think of a time you did well in exams in the past, a pleasant moment when you scored a good marks or any other pleasant memory. Play that mental movie for seconds. This cools down the mind, unblocks the memory pathways and you remember with less strain. During the process of examination, if faced with fear, repeat this same exercise.
