SESWPOCC has been previously hosted by Tulane Law School (2005); the University of New Mexico Law School (2006); Florida A&M University College of Law (2007); North Carolina Central University School of Law (2008); Phoenix School of Law (2009); the University of South Carolina Law School (2010); Nova Southeastern University School of Law and Chicago’s John Marshall School of Law (2011); Cumberland School of Law, Samford University (2012); and the 2013 SESW People of Color Legal Scholarship Conference was hosted by the William H. SESWPOCC is one of five annual regional conferences—Mid-Atlantic, Midwestern, Northeast, Southeast/Southwest, and Western—that started in 1999 to support faculty of color in law teaching. At these regional conferences, legal scholars exchange ideas, promote professional development in the academic arena, and encourage the production of scholarship.
