Our students have told us that this pandemic has made them feel stuck and that their dreams are on hold. They came up with the name โThe Next Stepโ for the creative agency we are co-creating because they are eager and ready to be out learning in the real world, even if they have to do it over Zoom.โจ
Most of their meetings are spent collaborating on social media content for education clients and working with mentors from CodeSpeak Labs.ย Once a month students like (who designed page 1 and 2) also have the opportunity to use their graphic design skills to work on a social justice campaign of their choosing. Students in our founding cohort worked on Black Lives Matter, Stop Asian Hate, and speaking out on the border crisis for immigrants and refugees.
