Last week, Gunster shareholders Amy Terwilleger and Nate Hill led an Association of Corporate Counsel Central Florida hosted CLE event titled the "Price (of Compliance) is Right". During the interactive event, the two assumed the role of gameshow hosts to discuss the new upcoming changes to the Florida rules of civil procedures with attendees. Last Friday, the Young Professionals of the Education Foundation of Palm Beach County hosted a Back-to-School Palooza at Lincoln Elementary. A team of Gunster staff attended the event to join in on the fun as volunteers welcomed students, passed out backpacks, supplies and uniforms, and served food to the families and teachers of Lincoln Elementary. As an alumni of Lincoln Elementary and Founder and Chair of the Young Professionals Group, Nalani Gordon was thrilled to spearhead this initative for a place so intrumental to her own academic success. Congrats Nalani on your hardwork!

At the end of July, Gunster's Georgetown Law Alumni hosted a 2024 Georgetown Student Send Off. The event was a great way for incoming 1L students to network with Georgetown Law Alumni from Gunster and other firms and businesses from the South Florida area. Congratulations to attorney Matt Goddeyne on his acceptance into Leadership Tampa Class of 2025 hosted by the Tampa Bay Chamber. Leadership Tampa is the 3rd oldest leadership program in the nation. Last week, Gunster's Luna Phillips co-chaired the 2024 American Water Resources Association (AWRA) Florida Annual Meeting in Key West. During the two-day event, individuals including the Executive Directors of all five Water Management Districts and the top leadership of the Jacksonville District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers spoke on key water resource findings and issues.
