I first met eight years ago when I photographed her sister wedding - she’s a sister I secretly hoped and prayed would think of me when her time came around, and I’m so honored to report that she did in fact think of me and here we are. Lucy + David, thanks for the laughs and the paper towel sweat rags to brave the Georgia summer heat 🤍

We’ll be traveling back to New York a few times this year - in July, and again in September 🤍 So excited to be back up north for two very special weddings 🤍

Feels right to break my instagram hiatus with one frame of Arielle and Spencer, and our afternoon in Miami.

Some things:
Oh yea, we moved back to South Florida.
I’m also working with my church now, and it brings me a LOT of joy.
Life feels somewhat normal again these days…
Did 2020 and 2021 happen?

Happy Easter 🤟🏼

A few weeks after their wedding, we received a letter from Rachel and Ryan. In it Rachel wrote this: ⁣

“My type-A personality had me a little nervous going into the weekend not having met and spent time with you guys, but basically from second one, you all walked into the room and I knew we made the right choice…you all felt like longtime friends.”⁣

It’s letters like this that keep us coming back over and over to cementing our core mission - love people well. So excited to deliver this gallery today! Here are Rachel + Ryan at in Boca Grande, FL. ⁣

Can’t put into the right words how much this one meant to us. Having a personal relationship with clients years and years before they find one another and commit to life together is something really special. ⁣

Truly excited to share more from Jess + Ron and their Key West wedding day soon 🤍⁣

One week ago today we got to meet Hillary + Brendan in Montauk, NY. ⁣

When I texted with Hillary a few days later, I thanked her for rekindling something in me. These two embody what it means to love with abandon. It was a special thing to witness, and Ben and I both voiced how blessed we felt to have been there and been a part. 🤍 ⁣

If you missed the stories of their wedding, check out my highlights and here are a few photos we loved from their day. ⁣

I think three weddings in 2 weeks really did me in emotionally - currently in recovery mode from all the travel (NYC to Key West to Harbour Island, Bahamas) but also from all the love. And smiles. And laughter. And light. And joy. And tears and toasts. These moments are big, and their were so many good ones. We have so much to share! For now, ten frames we love from .elkes and wedding with and . ✌🏻✌🏻 ⁣

What do remember from your wedding day? ⁣

It’s the tiny moments that you sort of forget about, or don’t realize are happening at all, that you truly have to trust your photographer to look for and find and capture forever. So much of what I do is watching and waiting and being patient. It’s a privilege to be so trusted y’all! A few tiny moments from and Nate to start off your Monday:) ⁣

ONE WEEK ✌🏻✌🏻 ⁣ ⁣

Seven more days until I’m back at this most magical of places, for Rachel + Josh’s long awaited wedding celebration. ⁣

Let there be joyous moments had, laughter shared, food enjoyed, tears shed, ALL THE FEELINGS FELT. Cannot wait!⁣

IMPORTANT:⁣

This matters - spend more time, more thought, more focus on the people and the relationships with those people on your wedding day and less time worrying about everything looking and feeling perfect. ⁣

When you look back on this day, what you WILL remember is the look on your Grandfather’s face when he sees you in your gown and the rest kind of fades away, naturally, as it should. ⁣

A few black and white moments from and wedding in Key West :)⁣

I recently heard from Megan that all of her wedding photos were lost - and I thought back to all of these super fun images. These girls know how to have fun! This wedding was LOADS of fun, and I cannot imagine never being able to look back on these moments. A) I’m thankful we back up images and keep them around for a long while for instances such as this and B) it makes me realize, again, that you cannot put a dollar amount on the documentation of moments. They are priceless. They mean everything. They are worth everything and more. I promise you, there will never be a single moment of regret in your lifetime knowing you invested in wedding photography. 🤍⁣

That Friday feeling is real strong right now - the end of a work week always feels so fantastic, doesn’t it? Who’s got big plans? If baseball doesn’t get rained out I’ll be at the fields but if it does, an IKEA trip and spending half the day trying to recreate Ben’s favorite meal from in Boston might be on the agenda 🤍 ⁣

Cheers to weekends and good food and family and maybe a raised glass because why not ✌🏻⁣

Happy Earth Day 🌎 // We’ve been able to see so much of this gorgeous planet by photographing love stories in some beautiful places. Here’s one from and wedding at in the Dominican Republic. Watch our stories today to see more of the same! ⁣

Monique + Lev and the simple neutral colored wall we asked them to hang out by. It certainly isn’t about the majestic Mountain View or teal colored Caribbean waters in the background - although those things are lovely - but it’s about connection. Getting into a small secluded spot and getting quiet with our clients for just a few moments often leads to the best images. ⁣
