🚨 Today, House Bill 4624 passed through full committee and is headed to the House floor. If signed into law, this bill would:

➡️ ban ALL gender-affirming care for trans youth
➡️ force current trans youth to medically detransition
➡️ force teachers to “out” students they think are trans
➡️ ban Medicaid coverage for gender-affirming care up to 26 years old

📲 Call your state representative at 1-844-394-8292 and urge them to vote NO on this violent legislation.

🚨 TOMORROW: South Carolina lawmakers are meeting to discuss H.B. 4624, a dangerous bill that would ban gender-affirming care for anyone under 18.

➡️ This bill also requires school officials to “out” students who are curious about or questioning their gender to their parents, potentially before they are ready to share.

📲 Call your state representative now and urge them to vote NO on H.B. 4624. Head to the link in our bio for more information.

It has never been more important to harness our people power and reclaim our rights.

Being Black and pregnant in South Carolina and the Deep South can be dangerous 20/12/2023

Being Black has always been dangerous for pregnant people & infants in the South. Instead of passing laws that support pregnant people, lawmakers continue to push for extreme abortion bans that contribute to the growing maternal mortality rate.

"State-level abortion bans will undoubtedly prove fatal for some people, particularly Black women and children, who are more likely to die before, during and after childbirth than White women and children."

Being Black and pregnant in South Carolina and the Deep South can be dangerous Black women and their infants in South Carolina and in the Deep South face shockingly high rates of death compared to their White counterparts. The situation does not appear to

Access to abortion fraught with more logistical challenges as patients confront increased restrictions 15/12/2023

Patient navigators are working to keep abortion accessible to those who need it, “The hardest thing for me is knowing the number of patients that we are able to help is only a fraction of the number of patients that actually need the help," says Kell Ripley.

If you or someone you know needs help accessing an abortion, call 1-800-230-PLAN or head to ppsat.org to schedule an appointment.

Access to abortion fraught with more logistical challenges as patients confront increased restrictions Patient navigators, abortion funds and other support networks work to combat barriers, keep abortion accessible to those who seek it.

🚨 BREAKING: The Supreme Court has agreed to rule on access to mifepristone, one of two pills often used in a medication abortion. For now, access to mifepristone remains available.

More than half of all abortions in the U.S. are medication abortions.

Mifepristone is safe, effective & safer than Tylenol. It has been used by more than 5 million people since the FDA approved it 20 years ago.

🤩 Thank you to everyone who showed up for Sync Up For Session in Morgantown!

As anti-abortion lawmakers return to the West Virginia State Capitol—we’re working hard to harness our people power & reclaim our rights.

🚨 Let's be clear: Every single abortion ban is extreme because each one restricts access to reproductive freedom & disproportionately impacts people who already face significant barriers to abortion care.

“Once you make a baby, it’s not your body anymore,” stated by none other than Lt. Governor Mark Robinson, who wants a total abortion ban.

You’ve heard of Who’s That Politician—but what about Who’s That Politician?

When curious students in North Carolina scan the QR code, they’ll be able to read more about Robinson & sign-up to get involved in the fight to protect reproductive freedom.

😵‍💫 the worst part? most, if not all, of this money is totally unregulated.

crisis pregnancy centers (also called fake clinics) are anti-abortion organizations that disguise themselves as health centers or mobile vans. they only exist to lie & shame patients out of having an abortion.

🏳️‍⚧️ It’s Trans Awareness Week (November 13-19): a time to celebrate trans lives, uplift trans experiences, & educate ourselves on how to be a better ally.

Trans rights are rooted in the same principles of reproductive rights: that you, not politicians, get to decide what to do with your body. We pledge to fight back against any legislation that hinders trans liberation. ✨

🎉 In Virginia, voters secured a pro-reproductive rights majority to protect abortion access & fight back against any bans that restrict our care.

Virginia was the last state in the South without a post-Roe abortion ban, meaning absolutely everything was on the line this election.

When abortion is on the ballot—it wins!

Virginia Democrats sweep legislative elections after campaigning on abortion rights 08/11/2023

🎉 ICYMI: Abortion was on the ballot in Virginia–and it WON! Voters secured a pro-reproductive rights majority in the State Senate and House of Delegates, eliminating any possibility of an extreme abortion ban passing in the Commonwealth.

Virginia has remained a critical abortion access point since the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, eliminating our constitutional right to abortion and stripping us of our bodily autonomy. But election after election, we continue to reclaim our rights.

When abortion rights are on the ballot, reproductive freedom wins!

NC increasingly funds crisis pregnancy centers, while advocates point to lack of accountability 08/11/2023

In North Carolina, anti-abortion organizations receive MILLIONS in taxpayer dollars, with little oversight of their practices and little accountability for the taxpayer money they're spending.

These organizations, branded as "crisis pregnancy centers," mislead and lie to patients about their pregnancy options with the ultimate goal of shaming them out of having an abortion.

NC increasingly funds crisis pregnancy centers, while advocates point to lack of accountability Centers known for discouraging clients from accessing abortions continue to receive public money, despite media reports of taxpayer funds spent on religious material and what critics call little oversight.

🎉 It's Election Day in Virginia! 🎉

The future of abortion access is on the ballot. If anti-abortion politicians can take just enough power this election⎯they'll pass an extreme abortion ban. We know that the majority of Virginians think that people should have the freedom to decide if and when they have children, without politicians interfering.

Today the polls are open from 6:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m.
