I’ve added a new winter pattern to my collection! This one features a few different colored borzoi in various stages of the run cycle, dashing through the snow, and surrounded by different trees.

Also, I’ve added an additional category to my shop so folks can easily find my holiday/winter themed items (both handmade and print-on-demand). There’s a bunch of new goodies too like Sherpa blankets, table runners, and pajama bottoms!

With Fall fast approaching, I wanted to alert you all to some new designs and the return of some old favorites! The Candy Thief features a black and tan borzoi walking away with a pumpkin full of sweets. The Pumpkin Spice Pup is a hound soaking in a pumpkin mug with a big dollop of whipped cream. ✨Let's Talk Ornaments!✨

I know, I know, it's still July. For my own peace of mind, I'm planning things nice and far in advance this year.

I always make a borzoi ornament, or several. But lately, I've been throwing in a few other breed designs as well. Now is your chance to let me know if you have a breed request for this coming holiday season!

I've made a google form where you can check every breed you love. It's AKC based, but the first page has options for non-AKC breeds, cats, horses, and other animals too. Each breed group has its own page so you may have to click "Next" a few times before submitting.

I left Redbubble due to their pricing changes so those print-on-demand designs are slowly being added/updated to my webstore shop at ashzoi.com. Patience is appreciated while I get that all set up! The items are of much higher quality, especially the embroidered pieces.

One such re-do is the classic “Run Your Dog, Not Your Mouth” piece. The first piece of apparel I’ve listed this design on is a sherpa lined denim jacket, embroidered on the back. Of course it’s getting pretty warm in my neck of the woods, but I look forward to wearing this on cold mornings when I run my dogs (and not my mouth, haha). More to come!

Another teaser, coming soon!

Funky work in progress photo of a wood piece that will be coming with me to SilkenFest in 1.5 weeks! It’s huge; I think probably 26 or 27” across. There will be stars and a crescent moon added, of course!

I stained the wood with gel stains, and nothing was straight out of the tube. Lots of mixing involved but a really fun learning experience, especially working in those gradients!

Once it’s dry, I’ll glue it all up, seal it, and then take fancier product photos.

The very last piece of last year’s “Skelezoi” limited series will be up for auction to benefit the Borzoi Health and Welfare Foundation! Keep an eye on the BHWF auction page!

My — I always feel like I didn’t accomplish much until I put these together at the end of the year.

This year was hard on me and I took about 3 months of making almost nothing while I grieved the sudden death of one of my dogs. However, most of these pieces (except for the middle two) were created after she passed and it’s interesting for me to think about those works in that context. I think I had a lot of growth in my art, maybe as a result of coming out of that dark place.

I hope 2023 is brighter for all of us ❤️
