Musical Herstory
On this day in WR&R history: December 16, 1978, the album And Now... The Runaways was released. If you didn't see it or didn't know, don't feel bad, it was only released at that time in Europe (possibly because of legal wranglings with ex-manager Kim Fowley) and then in Japan the following year. Bassist Vicki Blue was leaving the band; the bass parts here were played by lead guitarist Lita Ford. Laurie McAllister would replace her in concert until they broke up, ceasing playing in January 1979.
The album was re-released as Little Lost Girls on the Rhino label in 1981, and has several re-releases since. One such CD is available from the Cherry Red label. https://www.cherryred.co.uk/product/and-now-the-runaways/
