We make Electronic applications for all categories of people. Have the world Under automatic Control engineering wherever you are. We are makers 4 Rwanda.
We are a group of students in KIST who gather up and work on projects that can help in community development with in the city, its suburbs and upcountry. The group is for everyone who want to look at the every day objects around him/her and see the potential of what they might become if he/she MAKE something about it...We are MAKERS!! “We will do more than talk about the greatest problems facing our world. We will set the course to solve them.”
—Rafael Reif, President, MIT

Problem solving is surely a noble profession, something of importance and fundamental to the future viability of our world. Suppose the world leaders were as single mindedly dedicated to problem solving as is any or : we’d have effective schools, low taxation, and cities of light and growth rather than decay.
Perhaps too many of us and lack the social nuances to effectively orchestrate political change, but there’ s
no doubt that our training in problem solving is ultimately the only hope for dealing with the ecological, financial, and political crises coming in the next generation...

Do you know or have you heard about 3D printing technology?
Actually 3D printing or additive manufacturing is a process of making three dimensional solid objects from a digital file.
Want to explore 3D Printing Technlogy??
There is a free 3D printing workshops from tomorrow until next Monday at The Office RW...

"One finds that in the history of science almost every problem has been worked out by someone else. This should not discourage anyone from pursuing his own path." - Theodore von Karman
Come at Office, Kiyovu, tomorrow evening and learn about 3D printing technology. Prototek OKC (www.prototekokc.com), a maker space in Oklahoma City, has loaned a 3D printer to the maker community in Kigali.
On Wednesday night, Matt, a co-founder of Prototek OKC, will introduce the device to anyone interested in learning about the technology. This is an opportunity to explore the potential of the technology and to get a crash course in how to operate the machine.
Stay tuned! In January The Office will be hosting a series of more in-depth workshops focused on using and maintaining 3D Printers.
To be is to not simply accept everything around you for the way it is. You must look at everything closely, always questioning, always dreaming of better and different ways to do, think, feel, taste, hear, and experience. It’s from that constant curiosity and exploration that the best ideas bloom.

10 tips to accelerate your engineering career When the doldrums of an engineering career arrive, here are ten things you can do to take stock and accelerate or jump start your career growth.
“When you grow up you tend to
get told that the world is the
way it is and your life is just to
live your life inside the world.
Try not to bash into the walls
too much. Try to have a nice
family life, have fun, save a little
money. That’s a very limited life.
Life can be much broader once
you discover one simple fact:
Everything around you that you
call life was made up by people
that were no smarter than you.
And you can change it, you can
influence it… Once you learn
that, you’ll never be the same
again.”- Late Steve Jobs

The Maker Movement's Impact and Potential for Developing Countries Video from Fab10 in Barcelona
Making is all about expressing yourself through crafts or tools you make; we are all following a path of learning, creation, and sharing. Together we’re a movement. And a movement is here to stay. The movement has arisen to give voice and encouragement to all whoever inspire to become makers; to give its members a sense of belonging to a larger spirit of building and sharing the things we’re passionate about, and expressing ourselves through the thing we create. We are MAKERS4Rwanda...

Designing Gadgets to Be DIY Will Make Us Love Them Even More | Design | WIRED What does the Ikea Effect mean for product and service designers? By having users build a piece of a product or service, it’s possible we could get them to think of the product or service as being more valuable than they otherwise would.
“We built everything ourselves. Nobody is displaced here. We’re not strangers. We are just Makers and we want to use our brains and hands to change the world with that in us"
Today we are having a "makers meet up" @ The Office in Kiyovu from 6 pm! If you want to join us, you are welcome!
