et ekte Sarpsborg-produkt. Hun har brukt elementer fra Østfolds historie i mønsteret på genseren. Ideen og designet er fra helleristningenes 3000 år gamle historie som ble hugget inn på flate steinsider. Hun har valgt en gråfarge som illustrerer granitten fra Sarpsborg,
den koksgrå borgen er Alv Erlingsson Borg som vi o
gså finner i byvåpenet. Det er Dale of Norway som har strikket genseren av kamgarn som igjen er laget av norsk ull. In English

The Prehistoric Collection
It is elements from Sarpsborg’s ancient and unique history, dating back 3000 years, which inspired the patterns of the Prehistoric Collection. The elements are from rock engravings, carved by our ancestors into rock surfaces. The Prehistoric Sweater, a real artifact of Sarpsborg, is designed and manufactured by Marry Rådahl, the owner of M.E.R Design. Soon, a “kofte” (kirtle, a Norwegian folklore jacket) will be added to the collection, inspired by the same prehistoric elements and in the same design as the sweater. Rådahl has chosen a gray color that illustrates the solid and beautiful granite from Sarpsborg. The pattern in charcoal represents Alv Erlingssons citadel “Borg”, which is also in the city’s coat of arms. "Dale of Norway" has knitted the sweater from Worsted, a yarn made from Norwegian wool.
