Mandsaur District is adjoining Rajasthan and has huge deposits of Minerals like Laterite, Red Ochre, Yellow Ochre etc. The material starts from surface and is a rocky structure in the form of small mountains ranging from 20 Mtrs to 60 Mtrs height. The material is also available below ground level up to minimum 90 Mtrs. Laterite of Mandsaur has Fe (Iron) content ranging from 45% to 55%. Laterite is
used as an additive in cement industry for lowering the clinkerization temperature and supplementing aluminous and iron contents required in the manufacture of cement. Other consuming sectors are building construction and road metal. There are more than 10 Huge cement plants within a radius of about 100 Kms from Mandsaur which are ready buyers for Laterite mined as it is. Laterite can be beneficiated by establishing beneficiation plant so that Fe content could be raised and beneficiated ore could also be used in Steel plants. KRISHNA GROUP OF COMPANIES has already applied for mining Concession (Prospecting License) for more than 700 Hectares of land. The applications are processed and are ready for grant of Prospecting License.
