Happy Anniversary to ARCANUM! Tree wrote down the date that we agreed to be "a band" and found that date in an old notebook - and today is our anniversary! To celebrate, here's a new remix of "The Rhythm is a Sadist", which is one of the first few songs that we wrote together and was the first song we had that began to get people's attention, so it's quite special to us. “Safe” is one of funkier offerings and it closes with the epic “Random Interface/Mysterious Obscurity” which is based on one of those old tales about a person going out, trying to make a connection with someone, then waking up alone in a tub of ice with their kidneys removed. Yes, we actually wrote a two part song on that!

This is the album I feel Tree was born to make. Emotional piano ballads, with lush strings played by the Classy Chicks. I worked really hard to make this the best I could for him. And I love the artwork that my friend Melinda Kingsley let us use for the cover.

After years apart, we returned with new music when we made Sleepwalking on the Highwire! Actually, we had written so many songs together that we were unable to record properly, we got together to finish up many of them and then ended up writing new ones too. Back together making music! It was fun and I’m proud of all of it. We even got some friends to do remixes, which was a real treat for us too.

EP1: Sleepwalking on the Highwire Arcanum · Album · 2010 · 12 songs.

We put out a compilation after these first three albums. We didn’t know if we would ever record & write together again. It was sad. There’s one song on here that doesn’t appear on any of our previous albums- a live acoustic recording of The Rhythm Is A Sadist. We recorded it in my bedroom onto a boombox. I played guitar and a kick drum, Darrell Levenwolf also played guitar, & Tree sang. It was fun, a great memory, & the recording actually wasn’t bad, so we included it on this compilation album. It would be a few years until we would see each other again…..I made a mainly instrumental album under the name of Prankster (Circular Disorientation). I also faced my fears & began to try to learn to sing & play solo acoustic shows. Tree began recording music under the names Kobritz and Treemusic. You can find all of these albums on Bandcamp.
