Fun fact: Boys ages 3-17 are more likely to have a voice, speech, language, or swallowing disorder compared to girls (9.6% vs. 5.7%). 👦🗣️🧑

This underlines the importance of early intervention and support for all children to ensure they thrive in communication.

Ever noticed a child stimming or hand flapping when they're excited? 🙌 These behaviors could signal that the child isn't receiving the appropriate sensory input they need at that moment.

It might mean they need to move around more or that their sensory processing mechanisms are a bit confused.

If you notice a lot of stimming behaviors, seeking help from an occupational therapist specializing in sensory processing could make a difference.
