Everyone gets knocked down sooner or later.
That’s just the way life is.
SOME KNOCKS ARE SMALL, like getting a bad job review, or breaking up with a boyfriend or girlfriend. OTHER KNOCKS ARE BIGGER, like being diagnosed with cancer, losing your high paying dream job, or losing someone close to you.
We can’t control these knocks. But we can CONTROL HOW WE LET THEM AFFECT US.
It’s hard not to feel bad when you get bad news, and you should take some time to mourn and process the negatives when they enter your life. But what you shouldn’t do is dwell on them to the point they crush you or drive you into the ground with no seeming way to get back up.
To avoid this, understand that when bad things happen, they’re only TEMPORARY.
Do whatever it takes to HANG ON until the situation changes.
Also understand that the better your frame of mind, the quicker you’re more likely to rebound from whatever it is that torpedoed you in the first place.
CONTROL WHAT YOU CAN CONTROL.
LET GO OF WHAT YOU CAN’T.
Be patient because eventually, things will change.

Sometimes we lose focus of what is really important, what comes first before anything else. Jobs come and go, 100% at their dispense.. TODAY, I reminded myself that my kids & family are my priority! Time is precious! 🥰

They say all we have is memories in the end.. well tonight I sit here thinking of all the precious moments and experiences we shared together. It is over until it’s over Dad, we must keep pushing so we can make some more memories! I’ll never forget all the hunting and fishing we have done. That time we were camping and said it’s going to start storming in the next 10 minutes, she was hell did. We jumped in the truck and heading up Black Lasic and watching the lightening bounce off the ground. Of course singing the Thunder Rolls by Garth! Countless nights around the fire singing and playing your guitar. Me falling in the river and sh****ng myself over the crawdads!! Even though you hated my music in high school I still heard you try and play one of my “hippity hop” song in the living room. The Bulls games where I obsessed over Michael Jordan and told you I would marry him 😂😂 when you made me go pick a stick for a spanking and I picked a tiny one thinking it would hurt less… lesson learned! Chasing the baby pigs that escaped. You catching smoking w**d on the back porch! Ha I love you Dad! **kcancer

In 2019 my dad was diagnosed with stage four melanoma that been masticized to his thyroid he then had it removed and now has stage 4 in his lungs and will have a partial removal of one of his lungs next Wednesday. Please pray for my father he is my hero, and I want him on this earth just a little bit longer. ❤️
