AuraVerde started in my imagination many years ago. My love for crafting and designing began when I was a child as I was surrounded by women who loved to create, including Mom. Crafting and creating took a backseat while I raised our children, but i was able to instill a love for creating into them also. I re-entered the craft market about 5 years ago, only to realize I was stuck in the 1980's! Di
splays and, most importantly, crafts, were more sophisticated than I what I was offering. Working at the time as an environmental engineer, I decided to incorporate what I was preaching into what I was practicing! I loved making jewelry and began researching ways to use everyday materials bound for recycling, especially paper, in my designs. Then I needed a name.....aura meaning surroundings or environment and verde meaning green. I started with just jewelry but found my creative side needed more variety. So I have added other items, not necessarily made from upcycled items, but still with the love and pride that goes into every piece sold by Aura Verde. Thank you for visiting!
