We just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who came along to the Rock Choir concert on Friday at St. Mary's Church, Bocking. Not only did we have a fantastic audience, and brilliant performances throughout, but we raised over £1,100 for Panfield Church Spire Fund! A great night!
We are thoroughly looking forward to this concert on Friday 25th November which is being hosted by our friends at St. Mary's Church, Bocking. All profits will go to help raise funds for repairs to the Church Spire here at St Mary and St Christopher Church, Panfield. Tickets can be reserved in advance or bought on the night. Don't miss the fabulous Rock Choir!
As the national period of mourning comes to an end, please note today is the last chance to sign the Book of Condolence which is in the church porch. Thank you.
Today, at our 6pm service, we will also be Commemorating HM The Queen ahead of her funeral tomorrow. Join us for a very special service, all welcome.
We are also pleased to say that a local resident has brought newspapers from 1952 marking the death of the Queen's father. These will be on display before and after the service.
A final reminder that the Book of Condolence which is in the porch will also remain open until Tuesday evening.
Following the news of the death of HM The Queen, we pause and give thanks for her long reign and dedicated service lived out with both humility and dignity.
Full details on the tolling of bells, flags being at half mast, books of condolence, and other ceremonial responses will follow shortly.
