This is the official page of the San Angelo Chapter of the Texas Exes, the alumni group for The University of Texas at Austin.
We praise, promote, and protect The University of Texas at Austin and its students, as well as unite, inform, and involve alumni and friends in West Texas in fellowship and support of education. We also appreciate the opportunity to engage, and bring positive support to, our San Angelo community as Longhorn alum.

Happy 99th Birthday to The University of Texas at Austin's Darrell K Royal -Texas Memorial Stadium, officially dedicated on November 27, 1924 as part of the Thanksgiving Day Texas vs. A&M College of Texas football game. (UT won 7-0.)

The Scholarship Luncheon was held today for the new young people who will be attending The University this fall. Speaker Mark McLaughlin, 91 years young gave an inspiring and informative speech on the history of The University and the legacy these young people will carry forward as they discover their passion at the University of Texas. Thank you Mark McLaughlin for all you and Amy have been to The University and for inspiring these young people.

Tomorrow, Tuesday, May 3rd is the 24-hour online day of giving in our community, San Angelo Gives! We ask our San Angelo-area Longhorn faithful to join us by going online to donate at www.sanangelogives.org/TexasExes to support scholarships. You can start as early as midnight and give until 11:59pm Tuesday.
Funds raised will go to support our Texas Exes Scholarships for our West Texas kids heading to UT Austin, and your gifts will go even further on this day with amplification from the San Angelo Area Foundation. Even better, thanks to a generous anonymous donor we can match up to $10k with additional motivating and generous matching support from Webb, Stokes & Sparks in memory of Tom Davidson & Marilyn Aboussie and John Hay. To donate in memory of Tom or or other special person, simply select “in memory of” or “in honor of” when you give and fill in their name.
We truly appreciate the many years of support from our Chapter members and supporters that has enabled us to pay it forward for generations heading to the University.
