We had an incredible time at the 2023 National Manufacturing Expo, and we're thrilled to share some of the highlights with you all! From engaging discussions to inspiring keynote speeches, we had a packed schedule filled with informative sessions and valuable networking opportunities.
One of the standout moments was the panel discussion featuring industry experts, who shared their insights and expertise on the latest trends in Additive Manufacturing, Robotics, AI, and Renewable Energy.
We were also lucky to have a phenomenal keynote speaker the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering Ms. Heidi Shyu delivered an inspiring message on the importance of pursuing careers in manufacturing and STEM, her insights were truly eye-opening and left us all feeling motivated to push ourselves to new heights.
Finally, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to all our attendees who helped make this event such a success. Your participation and support mean the world to us, and we can't wait to see what the future holds.

I-DREAM4D National Consortium and UTRGV CAMICS Center invite all UTRGV students to apply for the Pentagon's X-Force Fellowship.
This is a 10-week internship working with the Department of Defense on emerging technologies across several domains including AI, Autonomy, Cyber Security, Hypersonics, and human-machine teaming.

1. When will we know if we're selected for the internship? Students will be invited to participate in interviews from 20 JANUARY - 10 FEBRUARY.
2. Who can participate? U.S Citizens at the Undergraduate and Graduate level are encouraged to apply. The ideal candidate targets Technical, Strategic, and Research related fields ranging from data analytics to communications and marketing.

UTRGV has a new partnership with the U.S. Army Research Laboratory to share research resources to benefit both groups. Two engineering students were able to participate this summer, as interns at the ARL Aberdeen Proving Ground from the beginning of June to mid-August.
Lindsey Salazar, a Manufacturing Engineering graduate student from Reynosa, and Madelyne Martinez, a senior Mechanical Engineering major from McAllen, participated in the 10-week internship program, supported by the new agreement.
