I wish I had gotten the opportunity to meet Leah before she passed. I grew up going to New Orleans and I suppose that’s part of where I learned my love and community of food! (Tennessee also played a major part) but I can honestly say I’ve been around food and family since I was born in more than one landscape. Food is family. It is the glue that holds our community together!

I want to say a sincere THANK YOU to everyone who came out to support .r.c._pet_services and at . With y’all’s help we were able to raise over $1200 to give these guys to start rebuilding life after their tragic fire. It is awesome to see our community come together in full force to put these guys back on their feet! “Where There’s Smoke There’s Family!” 💯💯💯

This Sunday we are hosting a benefit BBQ at in East Ridge for our good friend r.c._pet_services (Mel Bradley) and (Jeffrey Selvidge). These guys lost everything including two beloved pets in a tragic house fire last Friday. They are literally having to start life over from the ground up and need all of the support we can give. So, come by grab some BBQ and all of our profits will go directly to them to help get a fresh start. Donations will also be accepted and appreciated! We hope to see y’all Sunday July, 21. Well we did it! We successfully smoked our first whole hog! I was nervous about the process but I can absolutely say this was some of the best pork I’ve ever put in my mouth! We will definitely be going whole hog again very soon! 🐖🔥🐖
