👉🏼Camerino Rojas and her family. Together they run a workshop in a little village of Puebla, Mexico🇲🇽. Camerino and her family had always been weavers of palm leaves since they were young. Making baskets, rugs, placemats, and many other home ornaments. More than 20 years ago with weather disasters in the region sustainable palm leaves started to be scarce and that’s when the family, like other artisans of the village, started to think about using other materials to be able to continue doing their crafts and get an income. That’s how they came up with using Aluminium. The nature and metal alloys makes it easy to mold, so it can capture in each piece the personal touch of the artisan. They use the same technique for weaving palm leaves, just the process takes them more time. The results are amazing! We are thrilled to collaborate with Camerino and family to bring to you our unique Lola purse in two sizes and also baskets that will elegantly give an artisanal touch to your spaces.

The wool comes from the Peruvian countryside locally located near Ayacucho, the small city where the knitting takes place by a social workshop with over 180 underprivileged women. Tonight the celebrations for Day of the Dead 💀start! a Mexican tradition that goes from 31st Oct to Nov 2. According to tradition, it’s believed that today at midnight, the border between the spirit world and the real world dissolves. During this brief period, the souls of the dead travel to the living world to feast and be with their loved ones. On the 31st the spirits of children are the ones visiting for 24 hours. The spirits of adults can do the same on November 2.
