Update on Mya :-

Mya's out of intensive care and now in a respiratory ward!! 💪🏼
No longer liquid fed through ng tube, had meds orally with 2 yoghurts which she thoroughly enjoyed and a lovely drink of water 💦
Just need her SATS to increase, mobility to come back, catheter out, lines taken out and to say good bye to this place! yay 🙌 🥳

UPDATE ON MYA:-

Hi all,
Due to the amount of messages, calls and visits, I thought it would be easier and quicker to update you altogether on social media. Last week Wednesday, whilst I was changing Mya into her pjs, she collapsed out of my hands and fell flat on the floor and went into a seizure. She then became violently sick and went on to have another seizure which then stopped. 10 minutes later, she had her 3rd seizure, so we had to give her rescue medication, something we haven't had to do in over 10 years!!
When our fabulous paramedics arrived, only 10 minutes later, Mya had developed a very high temperature and her breathing was very shallow. Mya was then blue lighted into A&E! Mya was in resus for 1 night, then shifted to one of A&E's treatment rooms where she stayed for 2 nights. Mya was then given a room on the Acute Ward for 1 night and then rushed into intensive care that Saturday!
Mya was put on a ventilator and twice was nearly intubated, but our little fighter kept waking up, so they did not do this!
They do not know the 100% cause of Mya's state, (could be due to aspirating), only that she had a life threatening amount of carbon monoxide in her blood, her breathing very shallow and a very high temperature! Mya has been in intensive care now exactly 8 days and although she has made small progress, I was informed today, she has swelling on the brain!
Mya has had 2 brain scans and yesterday was taken off the ventilator as she has done so well. The doctors say that she will be in intensive care for quite some time, so I am not sure myself, when we will be leaving hospital.
I have been with Mya 24/7, until day 6 when I could no longer function myself and had to go home for a few hours to have a rest, whilst Henry is bed-sitting/helping out with the nurses. We are both absolutely shattered, but our girls have always been and will continue to be our main priority.
I thought I would update you all, as I know all of you have been asking! Many thanks for all of your kind wishes and all that you have done to help us, it is much appreciated! Love to you all ♥️
