There’s not been much time for me to play around with decor here these days- but, today I woke up at the ridiculous hour of 4:30am, so, what better to do at that hour than play with some fall decor? !

Who doesn’t love a before and after??
A few days ago in stories I mentioned how horrible that entryway wall was when we purchased this house, and I received tons of requests to see- (swipe👉🏻) guys, I’m not sure what the builder was thinking in adding that useless eyesore. I mean, a coat closet would have been nice?? Something, Anything but THAT! 🤦🏻‍♀️ And how about that paint color?? I’m not sure why I thought that was a good idea- it looked like a cave in here! Sooo so dark. I sure am glad it’s all gone and I wish I had the video to share my excitement in taking a hammer and paintbrush to it all, but it was before I had this account.
IF we decide to stay in this house, that wall will see A LOT more demo- but for now, were just going to make her cute. 🙌🏻

All is calm. All is bright…
Lots of messages to answer, so I thought I would do it right here in a post…
Yes, our little family did indeed add a new member this past weekend (see last post) she was most definitely unplanned- but while out and about we happened upon her and I just could not resist + she is exactly what I’ve been secretly searching for.
Max is ok- having a pup around to keep him company and to get him up and moving around more was definitely a good idea. We’re all a little weary, but the joy she brings far outweighs the crazy.
As for me? Well, having to do the army crawl out of my bedroom past her cage in the morning is something out of mission impossible- but very necessary for this new fur mama to have her quiet morning time before it all breaks loose. 😂
Meanwhile, the decorating is done + the shopping and wrapping continues. Just riding out the next 9 days enjoying the Christmas season chaos.

I’m just over here tis’ ing the season + having some fun. I created this sweet (quite literally, I’m still shaking from taste testing all the sweets) cocoa bar yesterday (swipe👉🏻) + It was so much fun putting it together. I love this time of year!!

Some simple + cozy views happening in the family room over here. Max + I wanted to wish you a peaceful , joyful holiday season my friends. May we all be as chill as he is for the next 24 days! 🤣🙌🏻💫
As I was decorating the house this year, the thought that this very well may be the last Christmas we have in this home stirred up quite the influx of emotions. Sooo many memories have been made in this single space. From those who are no longer with our family to the 13 Christmas mornings my boys came in to see what Santa brought- including that guy right there. yikes you guys!!
It’s exciting and overwhelming, and everything in between- but I’m ready to move on to the next chapter- this time I pray, with creaky old floors + doors 🤣🙌🏻
Meanwhile I’ll be riding out the next 31 days right here enjoying every minute.

While out vintage pickin with my sister on my birthday I found that sweet antique rocking horse- (swipe to see what she looked like before, not so cute) but I knew she would be grand once again with a little lovin. Oh, and that scale was a birthday present as well, ( another unicorn I’ve been searching for) and so the vision for this space was born.
So soooo happy I swapped out that big table.

The absolute best part of being blessed to work from home is taking small breaks during the day to be creative. Not only does it help clear and quiet my very full mind and get lost for a while, but it also allows me snap a few photos to share with you.
