Had loads of grief about this today. If you haven't tried it, you're missing out. My cousin gave me the idea. First thing I thought "sick f**k", but it truly is sensational.

In the wake of all PT's and sports science as****es jizzing over Calorie Deficit (not all, some are legends), we are losing site of the some things. Your life is yours to live however you want. Influencers are at the route of it, out for their own benefit. Yes some are very helpful. Others are just gobs**tes. Don't allow some bellend online with peroxide blonde hair sell you shoe inner soles with mint leaves inside that make your shoes smell nice. Be who you want to be. Just make sure the person you are makes you happy. If not - change it. I've waited all week for this pizza and Captain Tony's didn't fail (my main nutrition sponsor).

Yes - make 90% of your caloric intake (please stop saying the word "Calorific" when you need "Caloric") positive, healthy and accountable. Then enjoy 10% of whatever you want.

No - don't eat pizza every day. Don't drink energy drinks every day. Don't consume 4 litres of mayonnaise every week. Don't take weightloss coffee ๐Ÿ˜  (money robbing bastards). Don't believe everything on Instagram (maybe this is a blag?) -

Just - relax. You know vegetables are better than chocolate. You know calories matter. You also know nutrients matter and health matters. You already know 5 bottles of wine per night won't lead to anything good, unless it's a 45 minute non climatic bl*wj*b (better than a sports massage from ). Take your time, enjoy your food and slowly male more positive choices ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ‘Œ

Sundays aren't to be sad. Yes you may be setting an alarm for a job you hate. But I bet there is a person looking at you saying "wow I wish I had that job." It's okay to not be okay. It's okay to feel pain. However, what's not okay is comparing your existence to anyone else. Making ends meet is good enough. It's all I do. I have nothing fancy. I've come to realise living a life based on the opinions of others is not a life I loved. -
There is no perfect way to be happy. We just stumble across something and we roll with it. I never imagined I'd ever have the courage to open a small business. I never imagined I'd be a dad. One minute I'm exhausted, the next minute I find direction. -

Mental health to me is everything. I don't believe there is a "fix". I view mental health like I would Autism. We need to stop thinking about "cures" and start learning how to understand. Speaking out takes courage. Be proud when you do it.

Are you a failure because you ate some cake this weekend? NO! I'm Adam and I love eating "bad foods". I actually love failing on my diet๐Ÿ˜ it tastes so good. You are beautiful as you are. If you wish to lose bodyweight for health reasons or self confidence, then do it๐Ÿ’ช Just make sure you are not torturing yourself every day because of choices you are making. Sometimes a little guidance is all we need. Don't beat yourself up for indulging. Keep a conscious track of your intake and find the balance you really want. Not the balance you want others to see. If calorie counting works for you, do it. I do it maybe once per year before a holiday. That's just so I don't sink when I jump in the sea ๐Ÿ˜‚

Demonizing food to the extent we do is detrimental to our mental health. Yes, I am a massive advocate of a "clean", organic diet, but I refuse to succumb to the social expectations of being "ripped". Someone said to me "Adam, you should get ripped, it will be good for business". I did 61 private session last week. In 6 of them I was drinking Magners Cider and eating cake ๐Ÿ˜‚ - vanity doesn't mean everything. Substance and empathy does.

My point, is that you only need to love what's inside you to be happy. The external desires are great achievements, but please don't compare your body to someone else. You have the ability to be who you want and have what you want. Don't spend every second worrying about your appearance. You make a difference as you are and that is amazing.

Instead of trying to flex your water filled muscles, you should support people. Offer assistance or guidance. Maybe even offer to have a coffee with someone new to the gym so they don't feel intimidated. -

If I ever caught anyone in my gym making anyone feel unwelcome or not worthy, they would immediately be kicked out. We are all in this together and we should all be helping one and other.

There is no such thing as the "perfect" method. We just make mistakes, try new things and learn from experiences.

If your training stagnates and bores you, mix it up. Here are three very different methods.

1). EXPLOSIVE eccentric training. Laying bench press throw aways. Slowly lower the bar, hover above the chest then accelerate and throw it up to your spotter. This is an excellent movement for building power without momentum

2). Basic Olympic lifting. Keep your coaching to the level you can coach at. So therefore, it's not my primary coaching role, so we keep things light, simple and stay explosive. Leave the heavy duty lifting to competitive athletes.

3). Round 10 of relentless pressure boxing. Danny is just surviving and emptying his tank. This is the final round of 10 X 2 minutes. We box purely for fitness, so therefore we push the pace. Try it - it's disgusting ๐Ÿ˜ญ

How effective is Padwork? Is your padwork choreographed? This work is amazing for fitness, conditioning and movement purposes. However, this is NOT boxing. This type of work is loads of fun, but wouldn't be regularly used by experienced coaches.

I cannot stress enough to seek a professional club when looking to engage in combat sports. I love padwork for nothing but fun and coordination training.

has improved his fitness massively in the last 18 months. His goal is to build lean muscle and simply be as fit and injury free as possible. He does not wish to box, just use pads for fun and a solid burn out.

Congratulations winning the ISKA English title . You looked the boss in there last night. A Greta moment was in round 4, it looked like Joe was sweeped, but he didn't touch down. He shook his head, and walked over and within 10 seconds swept his opponent to the canvas. Spiteful!

Joe never slows down. He improves every time and shows different qualities in every fight.

From sacrificing the small things most of us do daily, to training hard day in and out. Joe sets an example for everyone to follow. He is the best in the world for a reason. Hard work and crafting his talent.

There's not much to say really, other than there was never a doubt going into this contest. Joe gave away 2 years in age (in youth that counts for a lot). He dominated the fight against not only an excellent young fighter but, a professional young man too. His coach and dad has helped Joe develop such great skill.

I've rarely seen heart like this from someone and just pure character. However, produced in defeat a seriously strong performance. His opponent was a game, grinding wrestler who applied relentless pressure from the first bell.

Harry landed some clean shots as his boxing is quality. However, the most impressive part of his performance was his ability to never ever look like he was in danger. Even though his opponent swarmed him, Harry was calm and collected.

At the end of the second round I could see how hard he was working. He had to dig deep and withstand a real acid test to take the fight to his opponent. The decision didn't go his way, but now he knows he can survive an onslaught I think Harry is going to be a formidable fighter from here on out.

Last night was a pivotal moment for . When I spoke to him earlier in the day he was excited, but I could tell her was nervous about the fight. He didn't need to be, his experience alone is always in his corner. -
Then when I seen him walk to the ring, the music was right, his corner were on fire and he just looked like he belonged in there. Now, I do waffle on a bit, but I'm so bloody proud of him. To see where he has come from physically over the last 9 weeks is outrageous. -
His preparation couldn't have been better. From his hard day's at Next Generation MMA Liverpool NextGen Wirral Martial Arts training with some top level operators. To training The Unit Strength & Conditioning Limited and then being blessed to have Steph feed him right. Paul has acted like a true professional. -

The performance speaks for itself. Dominating from the off. Uncontrollable, powerful and too damn slick๐Ÿ˜Ž. Paul overwhelmed his opponent and got a well earned stoppage. Can't wait for the next one, as he will get better and better has the challenges become tougher. ๐Ÿ’™

๐Ÿ”ฅMistakes are absolutely normal. Don't panic when you mess up your diet. Don't cry after you've devoured 6 mince pies in the bath (so no one can see๐Ÿ˜‚). Embrace those moments and use them as a catalyst for future positive choices. -

Many coaches like to talk about how you have time to train and that you should be doing this and that. Really? You should just do the things that make you happy. People die every day because of sociological pressures. Die inside from expectations. We should only expect from ourselves what we are willing to work forโœŒ๏ธ (profound voice). -

You will find your own way. Do what works for you and just take snippets of information from everyone else. Someone invented a camera. You can out the snickers down do some press ups. Or you can destroy a full rack of ribs and have a big fat smile on your face. -

Fighters and high intensity contact sports. READ THIS ๐Ÿ‘‡ 1 Min read, it will help.

We think is 100mph, but it's not. It's about effectively training to avoid injury as goal number 1. Improve strength mobility and flexibility. Increase endurance and add power.

This movement is perfect for - we are stabilising the lower Lumbar and thoracic spine. This occurs in the "bridge" (linked to MMA and Jits). Next we add a push press. This does not emulate Framing or Pushing someone away, it simple is a load to increase speed and power. I see many coaches using weight equipment to emulate fights. This doesn't work. The weights are inanimate objects.

That is the equivalent of PT and coaches teaching boxing, if they've never boxed. That's your skills coaches role. Never forget the fundamentals of the art.

This movement uses chains (10kg each) to add weight as we accelerate. Using time under tension - lowering slowly and holding, we stretch and elongate the muscle. This maximises potential growth for speed and power. ๐Ÿ‘ŒโœŒ๏ธ

A1. Warm up - ski row / mobility

B1. Drop squats / drop lunges X 10
B2. Push ups

C1. Weighted walking lunges 25m X 3

D1. 5 rounds: Max sprint 10 seconds (add 5 seconds per round)
D2. Walk downs (pushing partner up and down the gym floor).

His training camp began today. He has 3 very tough weeks ahead of testing and endurance work with me. Then we move to a power phase. -
Joe has turned into machine over these last 6 months, and the future is bright for him, but ominously dark for his future opponents.

Staying focused and motivated is probably the hardest part of being an athlete. Paul and are training side by side, pushing one and other. Both are at a very high level already, and these small improvements in their strength and conditioning programmes will give them an edge they haven't had previously.

Professional fighters have courage beyond measure. The discipline in their daily routine is absolutely mad. It's amazing just to watch them progress and turn into, for a better word, animals. ๐Ÿฆ๐Ÿ
