💚 We've powered up with 64 solar panels at our facility in Peterborough, saving 4.2 tonnes of carbon yearly and slashing our grid dependency by about two-thirds. ☀️

💚 Our products are 100% cruelty-free—no animal testing, ever. They're tested on willing humans, ensuring ethical practices without compromising on beauty. 🐇

💚 Embracing eco-friendly packaging with plastic bottles, made from PET and HDP with recycled plastic. Our tubes are 95% PCR—crafted from recycled milk containers. Plus, our pumps are totally recyclable. Cartons are 100% FSC certified card and our shipping boxes are packed with shredded card from waste boxes and biodegradable corn starch peanuts. ♻️

💚 We team up closely with suppliers, choosing sustainably sourced, top-notch ingredients. Recently, we switched from Rosewood to Ho Wood due to sustainability, enriching your routine while caring for the planet. 🌍

💚 We sow the seeds of change by partnering with Trees for the Future to plant a tree for every retail product we sell. Our pledge has seen us plant a staggering 347,000 trees so far in Africa, not just revitalising the environment but also nurturing local communities with sustainable food sources. 🌳

Recent news highlights concerns over children as young as 8 using potent skincare ingredients influenced by social media. Children's skin is delicate so it's important to know what ingredients to avoid and how best to look after young skin...

⚠️ Skin Sensitivity: Young children typically have more sensitive skin compared to adults. Strong active ingredients, such as retinoids, alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs), and salicylic acid, can cause irritation, redness, itching, and even chemical burns.

⚠️ Absorption: Children's skin may absorb active ingredients more readily than adults' skin due to its thinner barrier, which may have adverse effects on their health.

⚠️ Allergic Reactions: Children may be more prone to allergic reactions to skincare ingredients, leading to allergic dermatitis or other allergic responses.

⚠️ Disruption of Skin Barrier: Strong active ingredients can disrupt the natural skin barrier function, leading to increased susceptibility to infections, moisture loss, and other skin problems.

⚠️ Long-term Effects: The long-term effects of children using products with strong active ingredients are not well-studied but repeated exposure to harsh chemicals may compromise the health of their skin over time.

If a youngster is starting to get blackheads, pimples, or oily skin, we recommend our Teen Actives range. This has been specifically formulated to suit younger skin and it is effective without being damaging. We recommend using it from early teens.
