A couple of weeks ago I had the distinct pleasure of organizing and facilitating a grassroots policy design circle on behalf of Liberation in a Generation. We asked organizers, advocates, community members, and nonprofit workers to step into a world where Debt Free College was guaranteed.
Capitalism really limits our imaginations in so many ways- it was beautiful to see what showed up for each person.
Big shout out and Black love to the folks from and among others for being present with me. 🖤

Burrito therapy in between organizing parents to transform this hellscape of injustice. There is a lot of talk of justice, struggle, and all the complexities we navigate as caretakers and parents. S**t ain’t easy for the working class and poor. Make sure you are taking good care of yourself, dig into your community, support working people, and keep the faith. 🖤💪🏽

Police destroyed another family. Police ended the life of another parent. 💔 We need more community responders and peace keepers …and way less police in our communities.

We get it. This system isn’t what we want- AND- we need to be strategic. Do you want to fight for power for our families in a Trump administration or a Harris administration. We know…. We KNOW. S**t is complicated.
The power belongs to the people. Let’s keep going.

Part of how we have resisted the heteronormative-nuclear family model is co-parenting with kin and chosen family. One such person is He fathers and cares for our daughter and uncles her siblings. We grabbed this beautiful gift for him from visionary
This is the Pride we celebrate. Not corporate parades, but subversive wild love knit together with refusal, creativity, and the choice to call ourselves family and remain connected because of belonging and joy.
