Hey everyone. Lots of storms across the region last night and this morning. We’ve been without power all night and they just got the cell tower back up. If your PCA church has external needs please text me as text seems to be working now. We are under another warning now but hopefully this is the last one.

Great group at Riveroaks Reformed Presbyterian Church doing mini track loader training on Saturday. Message us to learn how we can offer this training at your church.
This video about the Rainsville EF5 tornado of April 27, 2011 is very nicely produced. There is video footage here that I haven't seen before. When I share about that day I often talk of the strength of this tornado and how it literally sucked the asphalt out of the ground. This video confirms that and talks about where that happened. Thanks to TornadoTRX for putting this together. Check it out to learn more about the destruction we were dealing with in the 16 months following the storm. And this was just one of many tornadoes that impacted our area that day.
Here is the video:

Setting Records, Seeking Lawn Care Volunteers, and Lots of Training First of all, I want to thank everyone for their prayers for Trisha as she had (her second) knee replacement surgery on March 14. She has progressed well and (I believe) has done better this time than she did for the previous surgery. Praise God for caring for her through this time and for friends w...
Great time today doing chainsaw safety and operations training at Briarwood Presbyterian Church. Thanks to all who participated.
New Inventory System Implementation is Underway In late 2023, we received two generous donations. The first, a cash donation, allowed us to purchase a commercially-available, cloud-based inventory system that will help us to be more efficient and effective in inventory management. The second was a donation of handheld computers with barcode scann...

Celebrating God's Faithfulness; Looking Forward -
Celebrating God's Faithfulness; Looking Forward One of my happy places is on my tractor. I do some of my best thinking when I am in the woods moving downed trees or mowing a field. Okay, maybe it is not my best thinking but it is at least uninterrupted thinking. I was bush hogging at the end of the season when a thought came to mind. When we are....
Delivered a load of generators and other supplies to Christ PCA Clarksville TN yesterday. Many homes are still without power. Thanks to Bill Cairns for riding over with me and for the good people at Christ PCA for unloading help.

October Update -
October Update Wow! Where did this month go? It seems that yesterday the month was starting and today is Reformation Day. Five hundred and six years ago Martin Luther nailed 95 theses to the door at the church in Wittenberg, essentially lighting the proverbial match that lit the flames of the protestant reformatio...
Working on the 2024 calendar for church visits, mission conferences, training, etc. Let us know if we can visit your church in 2024.
“We accept that the truth of biblical doctrine is essential to authentic Christianity, but do we accept that the beauty of human relationships is equally essential? If by God’s grace we hold the two together—gospel doctrine and gospel culture—people of all ages will more likely come to our churches with great joy.”

Rest for Our Souls, Ministry Update, and September 30 -
Rest for Our Souls, Ministry Update, and September 30 September 30 was always a big deal in my previous work because the State of Alabama ran on a fiscal year that ended September 30. I not only managed a budget for all the departments under my supervision, I also managed multiple grant budgets. These grants, which came from state, federal, and private...
Looks like Hurricane Idalia is about to head into Georgia. I reached out to PCA churches in the expected path over the past couple of days. Please continue to pray for minimal damage and for safety in the communities in the path.

Tropical Storm Idalia, Maui Wildfires, Training, and More! “And the crowds asked Him, ‘What then shall we do?’ And He answered them, ‘Whoever has two tunics is to share with him who has none, and whoever has food is to do likewise.’” — Luke 3:10-12
Of course you can also just show up. We will still put you to work. 😀 But having an idea of how many will attend helps us to be able to better plan for the day.

What Drives Me...
I work a full-time job, so most of my work with MNA Disaster Response is done at night and on weekends. Why do I spend my spare time doing disaster response work? Because at nearly every disaster site we visit we get to have conversations with people who are hurting--people who need to hear about Jesus--and show them respect and dignity. A better question might be, “Why would anyone NOT want to be involved in disaster response?” - Mike Kennamer, MNA Disaster Response, TAG Region Specialist
