Our Story
When we were pregnant with our first baby we decided to let the gender be a surprise. We were certain it would be a boy, but I dreamt about a girl and all the adorable bows she’d wear. When Dorothy Grace was born I started frantically buying all the headbands I could get my hands on! I was so excited that we were surprised with a baby girl! Soon after, I decided to leave my career to stay home. I wanted to soak up every second I could with her and I was blessed to have the opportunity to do just that.
I had always wanted to start my own business and this seemed like the perfect time. I decided my bow obsession would be a great place to start. I learned to sew and pondered a business name. Our little Dot was given many nicknames but our favorite was always “Bean” and that quickly became “Dotbean”, a perfectly unique nickname and business name.
It was important to me that I make something that other parents felt good about putting on their babies soft precious heads. Dotbean hand selects the highest quality fabric for our products and each item is handmade with love. Our designs are classic but still modern and trendy and perfect for every day use. We love putting these on our little Dot, and we hope you do too.
