Lewis come in over the weekend as he is going to take part in his first charity boxing fight. Knowing that I had been experienced working with boxers he wanted to work on areas that might give him the edge and help maximise his flexibility & mobility as well as recovery!

We discussed a brief treatment plan and feel we achieved some fantastic results especially assisting with upper body mobility and flexibility as well as going through some day to day stretching he can do to maintain shoulder mobility!

I don’t often do this but I feel if you are able to please sponsor Lewis as he is raising money for a charity!

It is crucial that you regularly maintain your hamstrings especially if you take part in team sports or conduct hamstring dominant exercises.
A hamstring injury could put you out for 3/6 months potentially longer if more serious grade tear! 😞😩

Had a really pleasant evening this evening working with a regular customer who is a running enthusiast and very passionate about keeping fit and healthy!

He runs 25 miles a week and when I first saw him his hamstrings and quads very tight also with some sticky adhesions we have dedicated some really good time into also improving his Achilles flexibility and calf’s and have had some significant results which I am over the moon with!

This appointment just showed how much healthier his soft tissue was just over a course of some regular maintenance treatments 👌🏼😊

It is essential to properly care for your Achilles tendon & calf muscles. Individuals engaged in activities such as boxing, running, football, or any footwork-dominant exercises often subject their Achilles tendon to significant stress, exposing it to varying levels of force in different directions, thereby testing its tensile strength to the maximum.

While muscles have a substantial blood supply, tendons have a limited blood supply. Therefore, it is crucial to maintain their health as the recovery rate for a tendon injury is considerably slower compared to a muscle injury. In severe cases, a ruptured Achilles tendon can permanently hinder one’s ability to return to peak performance. Hence, it is imperative to adequately warm up the tendons and perform warm-up and cool-down stretches.

For individuals heavily involved in running or footwork-dominant sports, it is highly recommended to schedule an appointment for a range of treatments aimed at enhancing flexibility and mobility. These treatments can significantly improve your range of motion and overall performance. 😊💪🏼

Past few weeks, I completed 8 /10 repetitions of 220kgs. However, I believe I have the potential to do a few more. My goal for this year is to strive for 20 reps. 💦 😆💪🏼
During a period when I prioritized my strength and conditioning, I was able to comfortably lift 220kgs for approximately 15 to 18 reps with ease.😊👊🏼
Additionally, I managed to complete 12 reps of 240kgs.
Considering my current workload, it remains to be seen how my progress will unfold. Nevertheless, my aspiration is to regain my previous lifting capabilities, if possible.

The Re**us femoris muscle plays a vital role in your body, being the only quad muscle with dual functions - flexing your thigh at the hip joint and extending your leg at the knee joint!

I had the privilege of conducting sports massage treatments with Mikey McKinson this week, and it has been an incredible experience once again! Mikey is not only a talented athlete but also a humble individual.

Despite being in great shape overall, we focused on addressing the needs of his legs, which are often subjected to intense cardiovascular and technical footwork training, as well as marathon running.

During our sessions, we performed various treatments to release tension and specifically targeted the Achilles' tendon. I was thrilled with the results, as we were able to improve flexibility and ensure the Achilles' tendon remains healthy.

This is crucial for boxers like Mikey, who frequently engage in quick and forceful movements in a range of different directions during fights and training camps!

Huge thanks to Mikey and Brook for providing me with this amazing opportunity, I'm thrilled with the results we achieved! 😊
