Turned into Missing You -
Shot in 30° weather inside a warehouse in January 2024. We actually shot five videos including this one all in one day. Super thankful for the opportunity to continue my work with Kevin Johnson and Grayson Arias. Many thanks to my G&E team for creating some beautiful images and keeping my feet on the ground. And another shoutout to Grayson for being a collaborative genius!
This setup consisted of a 12x12 booklight with 3x .lighting 1200D’s with narrow reflectors pushing through a 1/4 grid cloth. Sandwiched between that and the camera was a 600x with a 5 foot dome. Frame left we had a couple of 8x solid t-bones acting as negative fill. Towards the back left of the frame we had a 600d gelled with 1/2 CTO for a warm edge on our drummer and vocalist. Thanks to a fairly overhead sun - we were able to also capture a nice texture on our background wall.

- “Nothing to Prove”
Here are a collection of grabs from my first job with and from earlier this year. The team and band crushed this video and I’m so happy with what we got! I feel very blessed and grateful to have had the opportunity to work with so many new folks for the first time.

My beautiful mom. Thankfully I got her looks. Hopefully she doesn’t get mad I shared these photos. And I finally got some film back that I’m proud to put out there.
June 2023 Kroger commercial with some of Atlanta’s best creatives and technicians. Special thanks to Jake Hale for bringing me out for this one. Please excuse the rendering quality of these frames 😤🫠 this was an overnight that required a lot of hustle and movement. Used the max menace on this one (three of ‘em). Thank you to for such an incredible invention that made our set safe and efficient. Here’s to the next one.

Tradition and legacy are critical pillars of a strong family. The experience I had the opportunity to share with JID, his family, and our team was such a humbling encounter for me as he showed us the home he had just purchased for himself that belonged to his late-grandmother.

Man this job took me for a spin. This was the largest job I have ever worked on - let alone be a department head on. So many days and nights of anxiety and lack of sleep lead to the images that I have to share with y’all. Many thanks to all those involved who weren’t even on the job who took time out of their day to walk me through what I needed to do, who to call, and how to organize all of the power and gear I needed. Twelve Vortex8’s and a Space X. A couple of Skypanel s360’s, s60’s .. thank you to .rentals for providing our lighting package. Thank you to for walking me step by step at 1am the process of how chain motors and pickles work. Biggest thank you is to Tim Chapin, our Key Grip, who held it down for us and kept our lights above set safe and secure.
G-d is good!

Do you see what this canvas is doing??? That’s some diffusion right there. This is probably one of my favorite photographs that I have taken .. I don’t know the person, but that doesn’t matter. So much of the work I do - how I make a living - is based off of artificial light. How do you take lights off of a truck and space them to look like real life? Photographing, especially with 35mm, is what influences me to continue working on my “artificial lighting.” I wish I just sat at this exact point and photographed different people as they hit their mark. That would have made for a unique collection.
Shot on a Nikon f100 with Portra 400

Here are some frames from a job I gaffed in March with DJ Ebro and EST Gee. This was a solid day with a great crew and was also my 1/2 ton van’s first time out. Proud self moment!
Swung a 12 foot menace arm with an .lighting 600d and Lantern 90, pancaked with magic cloth. Edged each talent’s outer camera side with a honeycrated titan tube. Four Aputure MC’s went under the shelves on Ebro’s side to provide more exposure. Full video is out on Youtube!
