PRESTIVAL FESTIVAL
A 20,000 ticket, 13-hour long music festival with no dead airtime showcasing at least 20 live acts. Taking place on the main field in Avenham Park on Saturday the 20th of September 2014 there will be a main stage, acoustic area, unsigned stage and a dance tent. Merchandise, crafts and activities will be available as well as an excellent selection of catering stands offering fast
food to fine cuisine. Prestival’s plan is to move from a one-day to a three-day event over two years and extended plans include relocating to include camping and extend ticket capacity to up to 50,000 within five years. This is sustainable given the planned reinvestment of ticket money into attracting larger bands to create a bigger draw. PRESTIVAL FRINGE
Either side of the festival, different styles of music will be showcased in a number of venues right across the city. Each venue will host a number of acts between 7-11pm for the Friday Night Warm Up on the 19th Sept and the Sunday Night Wind Down on the 21st. PRESTIVAL AFTER PARTY
The Party won’t stop after the festival ends. Preston’s City Centre will be alive with music fans looking for the best places to carry on partying, dancing and having a good time. Select venues will be offering OFFICIAL afterparties with free entry to Prestival ticketholders.
