What is Hypno Coaching?

Hypno coaching uses hypnotherapy techniques to help clients enter a relaxed, focused state (often called a hypnotic trance). In this state, clients are more open to positive suggestions and can work on changing behaviours, overcoming obstacles, and achieving personal growth.

How Does it Work?
Initial Consultation: Together we will discuss your goals and any issues you want to address.

Hypnotherapy Sessions: These sessions involve guided relaxation and visualization techniques to help you access your subconscious mind.

Life Coaching: Alongside hypnotherapy, the coach will provide practical strategies and support to help you achieve your goals.

Benefits
Enhanced Focus: Helps you stay focused on your goals.

Stress Reduction: Promotes relaxation and reduces stress.

Behavioural Change: Assists in breaking bad habits and forming new, positive ones.

Improved Well-being: Enhances overall mental and emotional health.

Who Can Benefit?
Anyone looking to make positive changes in their life, whether it's overcoming anxiety, improving performance, or achieving personal goals, can benefit from hypno coaching.

“If we wait until we’re ready we will be waiting for the rest of our lives”Lemony Snicket

Life is full of “I’ll do it when I’m ready” moments, waiting until we feel entirely prepared can be a comfortable excuse for procrastination.

Perfection isn’t a prerequisite for success. Embrace the journey, flaws and all.

Taking the first step creates momentum. Each action, no matter how small, propels you forward and builds confidence.

Opportunities are often fleeting. Seize the moment, take that leap, and trust that you’ll figure it out as you go.

Waiting until we’re ready is often just an excuse to stay in our comfort zones.

Ready to take that first step? There's no better time than now!

Why Now is the Best Time to Start Preparing for Next Year's Competitions

So, you're dreaming of next year's competitions? Smart move! It's not just about showing up—it’s about showing up prepared. Here’s why starting now is the best decision you’ll make.

1. Building a Strong Foundation
Preparing early allows you to focus on the fundamentals. This is the time to refine your riding techniques and ensure you and your horse are in sync. Remember, every little detail counts, and solid groundwork sets you apart from the competition.

2. Goal Setting and Planning
When you start early, you have the luxury of time to set realistic goals and create a detailed plan. Map out your training schedule, competition dates, and milestones. This helps you stay on track and keeps your motivation high throughout the year.

3. Fitness and Conditioning
You and your horse need to be in top shape. Starting your fitness regimen now ensures you both peak at the right time. Consistent, gradual conditioning prevents injuries and builds stamina. Think of it as a marathon, not a sprint.

4. Tack and Equipment Check
Begin with a thorough inspection of your gear. Make sure everything is in optimal condition or start saving for any necessary upgrades. Ensuring your equipment is safe and comfortable now avoids last-minute scrambles before the season kicks off.

5. Mental Preparation
Competitions are as much a mental game as they are physical. Early preparation includes mental conditioning—visualization techniques, mindfulness, and stress management. A calm and focused mind will keep you and your horse performing at your best.

6. Networking and Learning Opportunities
The off-season is perfect for attending clinics, workshops, and networking with fellow riders. Gain insights, tips, and new techniques to enhance your training. Learning from others' experiences can give you a competitive edge.

7. Time for Trial and Error
Starting now gives you ample time to experiment with different training methods and routines. Find out what works best for you and your horse without the pressure of an impending competition. This trial-and-error period is crucial for fine-tuning your approach.

In essence, early preparation is the key to a confident and successful competition season.

By investing time now, you ensure that both you and your horse are ready to face any challenge that comes your way.

Embrace the journey, and you'll not only be a better rider—you’ll be the best rider you can be. 🐎✨

If you need a hand planning your path to success, reach out now for support! 🐎✨

Time is an elusive concept, isn't it? We often find ourselves caught in a web of procrastination, putting off what can be done today for a tomorrow that never comes. "Do it now or never" isn't just a catchy phrase; it's a powerful mantra that can transform our lives.

**The Illusion of Tomorrow**

Tomorrow is a comforting thought. It's a promise of more time, a chance to perfect our plans. But in reality, tomorrow is just today in disguise. The tasks we procrastinate on don't disappear; they pile up, adding weight to our shoulders. The more we delay, the harder it becomes to start.

**The Power of Now**

Taking action now has a ripple effect. When you start today, you set a precedent. Each small step you take builds momentum, turning daunting tasks into manageable ones. The sense of accomplishment from completing a task today can boost your confidence and motivate you to tackle the next one.

**Breaking Free from Procrastination**

Overcoming the habit of procrastination requires a shift in mindset. Here are some strategies to help you embrace the "Do it now" philosophy:

1. **Set Clear Goals:** Define what you want to achieve and break it down into smaller, actionable steps.
2. **Prioritize Tasks:** Focus on what's important, not just what's urgent. Tackling high-priority tasks first can lead to greater satisfaction and progress.
3. **Create a Routine:** Establishing a daily routine can help you stay organized and committed to your goals.
4. **Eliminate Distractions:** Identify and minimize the things that pull you away from your tasks. This could be social media, unnecessary meetings, or even clutter in your workspace.
5. **Reward Yourself:** Celebrate your accomplishments, no matter how small. Positive reinforcement can keep you motivated and focused.

**Seize the Day**

Life is unpredictable. We don't know what tomorrow holds, but we do have control over today. By embracing the "Do it now" mindset, we empower ourselves to take charge of our lives and create the future we desire.

So, why wait? Start that project, make that call, take that first step. Today, not tomorrow. Because the best time to act is now.

If you’re ready to take action and start enjoying your riding more, or being more successful in competitions then my group coaching programme is just for you.

What are the beliefs that no longer serve me?

I recently came across a story with a powerful lesson for life:

While walking through an elephant camp, a woman noticed that the elephants were only being secured by a small rope around one ankle.

The huge animals were clearly capable of breaking the rope.

Confused, she asked one of the keepers why the elephants didn't break the ropes and wander off.

"Well, when the elephants were very young, we used the same small rope, but at that age, it was strong enough to hold them. Now, even though they are much bigger, they still believe the rope can hold them, so they never try to break it."
The lesson: An old, patterned belief has the power to keep you trapped.

At this very moment, you have old beliefs and stories about who you are that are holding you back from your goals.

It's time to question them:

What are the beliefs that no longer serve you?

How might you change your life if you change those beliefs?

This week step out of your comfort zone and ask those questions. You may find that you break free of the tiny rope that was holding you back in life.

Why October is the Perfect Time for Goal Setting

As the vibrant colors of summer fade into the rich, autumnal hues of October, it's an ideal time to pause, reflect, and realign our ambitions. Here’s why October is a fantastic month for setting new goals and how you can make the most of it.

A Fresh Start Before the Year Ends

October marks the beginning of the last quarter of the year. It's a great time to revisit the goals you set at the start of the year and assess your progress. If some goals have fallen by the wayside, don't worry—October offers a fresh start. This month allows you to reflect and refocus on what’s most important to you.

Seasonal Inspiration

The change in seasons can be incredibly motivating. The crisp air and beautiful autumn foliage can inspire new ideas and a renewed sense of purpose. Use this natural shift to fuel your goal-setting process.

Preparation for the new season

Setting goals in October can help you prepare for next season, whilst this season is fresh in your mind. Whether that be the winter or next summer by planning ahead, you can ensure that you stay on track with your goals.

Building Momentum for the New Year

Goals set in October can serve as a springboard for the new year. By starting now, you can build momentum and enter January with a strong foundation.

October is the perfect month for goal setting. It a great time to blend reflection, inspiration, and preparation to set you up for success. When you take advantage of this time, you can end the year motivated ready to start the new year with confidence.

The concept of "perception is projection" can significantly influence sports performance in several ways:

1. Mental Toughness. Riders who perceive challenges rather than threats tend to perform better. This positive perception helps synchronize the mind and body, enhancing mental toughness and allowing athletes to reach their full potential.

2. Confidence vs Fear. How a rider perceives a situation can trigger different emotional responses. Confident riders see opportunities and are more likely to perform well, while those who perceive situations as intimidating may experience fear, leading to physiological responses like increased heart rate and sweating, which can hinder performance.

3. Focus and Motivation. Positive projections can keep riders motivated and focused. When riders project success and visualize positive outcomes, they are more likely to stay committed to their training and perform better during competitions.

4. Stress Management. Understanding that perceptions are projections can help riders manage stress. By addressing internal fears and anxieties, athletes can maintain composure and perform more effectively under pressure

Motion vs. Progress

Motion: Any activity or movement that keeps you busy but doesn't necessarily help you achieve your goals.

Progress: Actions that directly contribute to reaching your goals.

1. Efficiency: Focus on tasks that matter.
2. Goal Achievement: Align actions with your objectives.
3. Avoid Burnout: Seeing results keeps you motivated.
Tips
Set Clear Goals: Know what success looks like.

Prioritize: Focus on important tasks.

Review Regularly: Check your progress and adjust as needed.

Eliminate Distractions: Minimize non-essential activities.

By distinguishing between motion and progress, you can ensure your efforts lead to meaningful results.

What goals are you currently working on?

Release your fears with a sigh, and breathe in calm, control & confidence.

When I do this, I say to myself, “fear out; calm & confident in,” as I slowly breathe in and out.

You are not defined by your worries, fears, anxieties, or disappointments.

When you are gentle with yourself, you will be gentle with others.

When you are non-judgmental with yourself, you will be non-judgmental with others.

And when you give yourself the benefit of the doubt, you will extend the same grace to those around you.

What is your biggest fear when riding your horse?

Did you know, sometimes just one mindset coaching session with me can loosen the hold that fear has over you and you can start enjoying your riding again 🥰

Message me with your biggest fear and I’ll tell you if just one session could help you break free from the fear holding you back and start riding with confidence and enjoyment 🥰

I carried a barrow full of poo around with me for years…

By poo, I mean fears.

Big ones, little ones, “I’m terrified of that” ones.

And a lot of my clients do too. Especially if you think your horse is going to spook.
Like the lady I helped at a recent retreat. She had a phobia of going over bridges with her horse.

I laid down some poles, and I said to her - “Ride through these poles, they’re just poles on the floor.”

She rode through them without batting an eyelid.

I then created another set of poles and said to her “These poles represent a bridge. I want you to ride through them and tell me how you feel.”

She did as I asked and then said “I feel terrified.”

You see, our brain works so quickly, it has trouble distinguishing perception from reality. Even though they were just poles, her brain reacted.

BUT, you can overcome these fears, and she did by being able to realise and reframe the situation. She now uses the techniques I gave her so she can approach bridges confidently and enjoy her ride.

Most of my clients say they’ve had such a breakthrough when they’ve worked with me. Are you ready for yours?

If you’re prepared to overcome fear and ride with confidence, consider booking a no-obligation chat to determine if we’re a good fit for collaboration.

I currently have a few available slots in August for single sessions, allowing you to kick-start your newfound confident mindset.

The key isn’t just eliminating fear;

it’s about taking small steps despite feeling afraid.

The goal is to move forward through fear, and you’re capable of doing it.

Fear is a regular companion in my life.

However, if I allow fear to halt my progress, I won’t achieve anything!

Admittedly, fear has slowed me down countless times.

But I’m actively working on overcoming it.

Interestingly, when I push through the fear, it tends to dissipate surprisingly quickly.

What is your biggest fear when horse riding?

Just beautiful to read this 🧡🧡🧡

"Remember this Kenyan runner Abel Mutai who was just a few feet from the finish line, but became confused with the signage and stopped, thinking he had completed the race. A Spanish runner, Ivan Fernandez, was right behind him and, realizing what was happening, started shouting at the Kenyan to continue running. Mutai didn't know Spanish and didn't understand. Realizing what was taking place, Fernandez pushed Mutai to victory.
A journalist asked Ivan, "Why did you do that?" Ivan replied, "My dream is that someday we can have a kind of community life where we push and help each other to win."
The journalist insisted, "But why did you let the Kenyan win?" Ivan replied, "I didn't let him win, he was going to win. The race was his." The journalist insisted again, "But you could have won!" Ivan looked at him and replied, "But what would be the merit of my victory? What would be the honor in that medal? What would my mother think of that?"
Values are passed on from generation to generation. What values are we teaching our children? Let us not teach our kids the wrong ways and means to win. Instead, let us pass on the beauty and humanity of a helping hand. Because honesty and ethics are winning!"
