The Society of FSP - Pittsburgh Chapter has presented the awards since 2001. The Pittsburgh Chapter of the Society of
Financial Service Professionals, along with the David Berg Center for Ethics and Leadership at the University of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh Rotary, and the Allgheny Conference on Community Development serve as hosts for the Pittsburgh Business Ethics Awards -- recently recognized as the finest regional award for this honor in the country. Finalists for the Pittsburgh Business Ethics Awards are chosen through nomination and overall reputation. Finalists are evaluated on such criteria as demonstration of executive commitment to business ethics, clear communication of ethical standards to employees, consistently high quality of products and services, and a commitment to community and charitable involvement. Three separate awards may be presented based on the size of the companies and the number of employees. Winners in each PBEA category compete for national awards.
