Is it possible for the LG, Delhi to sanction order for prosecution without the aid and advice of Council of Ministers headed by the CM?

The way Nabin Pattnaik was greeted on stage by his old friends , it did give everyone the impression that he remains the 'Hero' and Karikeyan Pandian was the real 'villain'. If NAPA could go to the swearing in ceremony without Pandian and if he could address his Party colleagues/Press without Pandian, why did he create an impression which continued for the last two years in people's mind that ' Pandian was the de facto CM'? We know what went wrong. But to hold someone else responsible for the debacle and continue to glorify Nabin Pattnaik is not fair.

As the swearing in ceremony goes on it is clearly audible on the streets how Odisha is transforming from 'Jay Jagannath ' to ' Jai Sriram '.

The suspense is over... finally New Delhi selectes who will lead the State as the new Chief Minister. This is what they did it in MP, Rajasthan and Chattisgarh. Acceptance is not a problem in Odisha. Justification will also flow from people as if they all had shared their wisdom with the Selectors.
Since BJD is on the decline for a number of reasons though they have a good number and a popular face like that of Nabin Pattnaik, Congress gets a good opportunity to grow in the State and probably provide an alternative in 2029.

Though we have nothing to do with BJP'S CM choices, I am surprised that the name of the most befitting candidate for the post Mr. Suresh Pujari is not in circulation.

Do we remember a name 'Girish Chandra Murmu '?

Verdicts for the Nation and the State will keep democracy alive. People of Odisha had got someone in CM's Chair who was as good as an Idol. No one could meet him; no party colleagues, no senior officers, no media. Now atleast there will be someone who will not deny access to anyone. Those who feel a little uncomfortable with BJP coming to power should keep this fact in mind that BJP was in power in Odisha together with BJD for a long time. The communalization of society was going on even when BJD was ruling. The same corporates have funded both the Parties. So the same situation will continue. But both at the Centre and in the State the number that rulling Parties and fronts will have won't allow them to be aggressively communal or pro corporate and anti people. In Odisha many winners in BJP had left BJD and joined the Party recently.
I can see a good opportunity for pro people forces to grow in future provided they are willing to learn lessons from the election outcomes. Congress didn't fight the election this time but they could win a few seats in Odisha inspite of it. Hope the rotten ones leave the Party and young blood is allowed to flow in.
As I had said earlier, doesn't matter who wins the common men are always the losers.

Senior Journalist and Author Bhaskar Parichha has lost his wife . Pratima Apa died late last night after a long struggle against cancer. She was a principled lady as a person and as a Teacher. I wish my longtime friend and co-creator Bhaskar Babu more strength to withstand such a huge loss in his life. He stood like a rock all these years and gave Pratima Apa all the support she needed in the long struggle. My heartfelt condolences...I do share the grief of Bhaskar Babu and their two children.

If Modi's ' Meditation ' was not part of his election strategy, he could have gone for it in the evening of June 1 when voting would have been over. Between June 1 and June 4 ( the day results will be out)he would have got full two days for 'Meditation'. He did the same thing during 2019 general election and ECI had no hesitation to grant him permission.

Now independent youtubers are talking about what Modi said about Gandhi. Two years ago our respected Columnist Prof Dr. Birendra Nayak had written extensively on the subject which later found a place in his book Aaj Gandhi. Please revisit the article. I am sure you will like it.

I got worried when I heard about this demon's visit to Odisha. Nabin Pattnaik government has sold out almost everything in Odisha to the corporate world. Now only our bodies remain. The middle class in Odisha are a class of opportunistic cowards and in the last 33 years I have not seen them standing up for a cause. Raising questions is not in their agenda.

Political Parties in Odisha like BJD, Congress and BJP competing with one another to do better advocacy in favour of invading mining companies Vedanta, Adani, Birla and Maitree..they oppose with force activists coming in defence of victimized tribal communities. The direct assault is on the most visible faces like Prafulla Samantara, Bhalachandra Sarangi and Narendra Mohanty.
