Today, we honour and remember trans, non-binary, and Two-Spirit people who have experienced discrimination and have lost their lives to transphobic violence. Let's stand together in solidarity and pay tribute to those we've lost while advocating for a safer, more inclusive world. 🏳️⚧️⚧️
We sincerely thank Paws for Hope Animal Foundation for helping our residents with crucial pet care. 💗🐾💗
We first met Sir Walter when we hosted a mobile clinic at McLaren Housing Society in 2018. At the time, Sir Walter was suffering with hyperthyroid and thanks to our generous supporters, we were able to send Sir Walter to .west.nuclear.medicine for treatment.
We were so happy to see Sir Walter and his Dad at our recent community clinic! Thanks to the treatment in 2018, Sir Walter is doing well and his Dad refers to him as his anxiety medication.
It is so heartwarming to witness the enduring bonds between people and their pets. Through our community clinics and veterinary funding support programs, we are able to honour this bond and keep families together.
Through the holiday season your donation will have twice the impact, with all donations being doubled up to $30,000 - thanks to the kinds of two donors.
Donate today and help families like Sir Walter and his very grateful Dad -- https://tinyurl.com/ysasxj4k

Paws for Hope Animal Foundation recently hosted a free Animal Health Clinic for our residents' beloved pets. The event was a heartwarming testament to the importance of pets for individuals facing multiple barriers. 🏡❤️
Many of our residents living in supportive housing find solace, companionship, and emotional support through their pets. In moments of solitude, these pets become more than just animals; they become confidants, friends, and sources of joy. 🐾💕
Our dedicated team, along with the wonderful veterinarians and volunteers, provided essential healthcare services, check-ups, and love to ensure these pets are in the best possible health. It was a day filled with wagging tails, happy purrs, and smiling faces. 😄
We want to extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who contributed to this event, from the staff, volunteers and healthcare professionals to our residents and their loving pets. 🙌👏
Let's continue to celebrate the power of pets and community! Remember, together, we can make a difference, one paw at a time. 🐾❤️

A significant heat wave is expected to hit BC starting on Sunday.
Here are some tips to reduce the impacts of extreme heat:
▪ Close blinds or drapes during the day
▪ Keep windows closed during the day and open at night when it is cooler
▪ Use a fan at night to pull in cooler air if the temperature is below 35°C
▪ Avoid using fans when the temperature is above 35°C as this may increase the temperature
▪ Use a range hood when cooking to remove heat and humidity
▪ Limit heat from appliances like stoves, ovens, dryers, and dishwashers
