This chat was before the proverbial 'greenlight' for Nappily Ever After. I kept telling myself it was going to happen. Whenever someone asked WHEN, I smiled politely and said any day now, though in all honesty, I had no idea. First, Halle Berry bought the rights. Those rights were sold to Universal Pictures which eventually went back to Halle who didn't want to make the film anymore. Faith, hope, and determination and the film eventually found a home at Netflix. Whew, what a ride. 🧡
