Q4/2023 and Q1/2024 were the toughest for me since I joined the industry in 2009. So many challenges - for lease units that took months to get rented, non-exclusive listing that got sold by another agent after spending time and effort to have the unit painted and cleaned… I was even the one to send the signed OTP to the closing agent! And many more set backs and frustrations that almost led me to want to leave the industry for good!

But I believe everything happens for a reason. My downtime was used to do reels, some styling projects, learned to make good coffee, and pushed the hubby to turn his hobby into a business. Yes! Rejection is redirection! I have learned not to worry and just to trust that God will provide and I will have money to pay the bills. Amen!

So for now, I have to celebrate this tiny win. After 9 months of not hitting my goal, I hope this sets the momentum.

People think real estate is easy money… I say, it rewards good money, but it is never easy. They don’t see the hard work we all put in, the relationships we build, the research and comparative market analysis that we have to do to secure the listing, how to advise our clients properly that they are buying or selling at the right price, how to close a deal that’s a win-win to both buyers and sellers and most especially how to do our work with a heart and for the benefit of our client. Because money is never the reward… It is the happiness of our clients!!

Today I met PH Ambassador to Singapore, Ambassador Macaraig, and other interesting people. Congrats for a great event!

All God’s plan…

In the morning of 19th December, she called me to say she won’t have a place to stay by Jan 1 because their current landlord doesn’t allow to let her daughter (coming to SG to study) stay in their rented flat unless they revise their lease to $4200 for a 3br HDB in Yishun despite their 10-yr landlord-tenant relationship.

She was in a great deal of stress having to find another place in 12 days…

So on the same day, I arranged 3 viewings, and secured her a place the next day. On 22nd, we bought all the furniture. On the 27th she got her keys and on the 29th, the furniture will all be delivered. All in time for new year and the arrival of her daughter!

And she did it even after doing a 28-hr shift in hospital! It’s been one hellava week!! Congrats Doc Jennie!! We are almost done!!! 🥹🥹🥹 but
