There are many reasons to get some workouts in during the week. Here are a few:
*Stress relief
*Better sleep
*Posture
*Maintaining movement ability as we age
*Strong bones

When I get out of my workout routine, my favorite way to get back in the groove is to pick something active I LOVE to do without rules and hard to meet guidelines. This might look like
-Going for a walk for as long as I *want* to walk.
-Dancing to a few Zumba songs.
-Doing a few of my favorite stretches and lifts (without heavy loads).
-Throwing the ball outside with my kids.
-Lifting moves in the pool (it's fun and feels good).
All of these ideas don't feel overwhelming and I don't dread the soreness afterwards. It makes me feel like I achieved something and makes me excited for what I'll do on my next workout day. This is just how my mind works. If you're struggling, give it a try!
