‘As a society we have forgotten how much the soil matters to us. We call it dirt, we wash it off our hands. We dishonour it. We forget that without the soil we would not have food or oxygen to breathe!
We are the soil, we come from the soil and one day we will all return to the soil.’

Su wu, Mexico City writer and art curator has been appointed Curator-at-large for .
Congratulations ✨
‘Her capacity to consider the world of design with a spirit of taxonomical irreverence and conceptual rigor’ is one of the core reasons why Masa’s team chose Su Wu’s vision — one of a kind.

Ithell Colquhoun, the british artist who played with different media to be a new door for magic and occultism in a time were surrealism was more than a way of expression.
She became part of of the British Surrealists and ended up walking away from the group in 1940 as she didn’t want to hide her spiritual practice.
So she continued, publishing each artwork as a chance for other universes, other possible worlds to arise.

Painting by Cuban-Costa Rican artist Ileana Moro ().
Our language, maybe foreign for some, became a light for many but mainly, became a light for both of us.
A guidance when we couldn’t grasp the thin lines.
A torch when the waves of life became higher and deeper.
A home when a pause to breath was our needed ground.
We were here. You were here.
Then, only then, Muses of Now became more than a movement: became a meaning.
A meaning of something real.
Of change.
Of energy.
Of creation.
Of purpose.
From us, all of us, just by being.
To a 2024 were we take the torch in our hands, walking the old and the new and embody the light.

‘I am fascinated by the concept of belonging to a community, the longing it creates, the terror it generates, like the inability to belong that I’ve always experienced.’
“The body is a tool for me. It is my clay, my material, which I mold into an exciting shape.”
