Alright I need your help! Which zipper would you choose for this Alpine Vest? I love how sharp the black looks and it makes the darker colors in this plaid really pop. But the dark cream draws the eye to the softer colors in this plaid and matches the skinny cream stripes perfectly.

So much fleece fuzz in this flannel lined Sherpa, this Alpine vest better make me look freakin’ amazing! 🤩 🤣 My next sew will NOT shed fur for days. #

This isn’t my typical style of print, and I almost NEVER sew custom cotton Lycra, but I am digging this Camas Coatigan. And, the fabric had enough structure to block some of the wind on my hike!

So we got hail today. So dumb! I was glad a had a tunic length Camas to throw on.

I’m feeling 90’s track suit vibes with this Camas Coatigan. I hacked it to be more cropped and used a fancy premade strip of striped cuff rubbing for the collar. It’s fancier than my normal hiking wear, but so freaking soft and warm!!

The NEW Camas Coatigan is here!! This one is jacket length in a super thick quilted knit and a Sherpa collar. It is so cozy, especially since our highs are still in the 40’s here! I can’t wait to show off my tunic length one in flannel!

More Canyon Raglan love! This one is super cozy in a light weight sweater knit bodice and cupro knit sleeves. Ignore my cheesy grin, my husband was trying hard to sabotage this photo by waving a dead crab in my face! 😂

Big Bertha’s first project! PLUS, this is the newest addition to my personal ”Sew my stash 2023 challenge”! This is some edgy cool vinyl that I got probably a year ago from Seweird. It makes a nice “stuff” container to hold all my stray scissors and sewing tools. This thing sews through vinyl like butter!

The beast has been unleashed. It makes my Bernina look tiny! I feel like I should name her…any suggestions?

I cannot wait to set up my new sewing machine! This is a beast! It’s one step away from an industrial machine so I’m going to sewing alllll the thick fabrics like leather, sherpa, and vinyl! I have some vinyl in my stash that I’m using next for my “sew my stash 2023” project! Stay tuned for more pics!!

One done! (Almost-just needs a neckband and the sleeves hemmed) I love how this Buttercup turned out. I even added a fun topstitching detail to the hem by cover-stitching the underside with a contrasting thread in the looper. Can’t wait to make more!

I won thread chicken, by like 2 inches! 😳 I had to hold the last little tail of thread and go really slow. It’s the little victories people. 😂

I’m declaring 2023 the year I sew my way through my hoard of fabrics! First up are these flowy nylon spandex athletic knits. They are going to be simple Buttercup Tees for hitting the gym. The next picture is ONE SHELF of the mountain of fabric that I’ve been collecting and “saving” for the last 20 years or so. I don’t even know what treasures I’ll find but I’ll just take it one (or maybe 2) fabrics at a time. It’s so on 2023!
