As a resident of Mead for the past 5 years, I have witnessed a lot of changes as the corridor continues to boom.
There have been changes to the community, which has given me an overall perspective of where the community has been, where we are now, and where we need to be in the future. I have served Mead as the President of the Parks and Recreation Committee in 2016 and currently as the Vice President of the Mead Downtown Development District. Heads Up: United Power will be increasing rates effective June 1. The increase to the Residential (R1) rates will be 9.8%. The Residential Time of Use (RTD1), Residential Smart Choice (RD1), and Residential TOU Demand Service (RDP1) will have a 9.7% increase.
Anyone who desires to comment about the proposed changes can file either an informal or formal complaint with United Power at 500 Cooperative Way, Brighton, CO 80603 at least 10 days before the proposed effective date.
