Horses have been a huge part of my world since I was 11 years old. As a VERY timid child who was afraid of my own shadow - horses changed my life. They helped build my courage and confidence. The countless hours in a peaceful barn was my therapy.

Partnering Sip Well with an equestrian organization was a no-brainer.

And when I found out about LongRun Thoroughbred Retirement Society 's Empowerment Camps for young girls, I knew I needed to get behind them 💪

It's and we want to celebrate Sip Well Do Good’s very first event! Wayyyy back in August we brought together 37 "socially responsible sippers" for our Winemaker’s Virtual Tasting with Grange of Prince Edward!

Maggie Granger hosted our evening as we sipped on their exclusive Botanical Series, learnt about Grange's beautiful history, and raised over $600 for Pink Pearl!

It was the perfect way to get together (from afar)

My gratitude journal is a very important part of my daily routine, however as we head into Thanksgiving weekend, I have been reflecting a bit more and can't help but feel extremely grateful for all of YOU!

This time last year, Sip Well Do Good was brewing up behind the scenes and only a fraction of my people knew about this crazy project that had consumed my life! 🤪

We have come SO far in the last year - and YOU babes have been a blessing through it all. 💪

The support I have received from my friends, family and especially all the new (virtual) BFF’s I have made throughout this process has been incredible!!!

Together we have laughed, cried and raised lots of funds and awareness through sipping and celebrating! It’s been a dream come true! 🥰

I know I have been a bit quiet on here lately, and that’s because the “behind the scenes brewing” has been in full force. I can’t wait to see what comes next in this adventure, but once again, I am so grateful to have all of you along for the ride!

Pink Pearl is a Canadian, grassroots charitable organization made up of more than 10 dedicated volunteers, focused on bringing together young women affected by cancer through a network of peer support and innovative programs.

Each person will receive: a tasting kit including three one-ounce wine tastings, a keepsake tasting glass, notes on the wines & winemakers and access to our virtual event.

"Our Botanical Series showcases the best of the Grange wines. Each wine offers a unique snapshot of our winemaking philosophy. First created for our 15th anniversary, this series is designed to showcase how far we have come in 15 years of winemaking.
Chardonnay 'Sur Lie' showcases whites that can age and develop over time. This chardonnay is as bright and lively as the day it was bottled. Aging 'sur lie' brought out beautiful oaty/ honey-nut aromas in this wine.
Ombré Gris 'Skin Contact' showcases the depth of orange wines. Orange wines are white wines made with skin contact, giving a deep colour and flavour, with notes of honeysuckle, apricot and spice.
Pinot Noir 'Unfiltered' showcases the beautiful texture of wines. By being completely unfiltered this wine has great texture and complexity. Notes of sour cherry & spice." - The Granger Girls

Pink Pearl Canada is a community-oriented charitable organization that provides support, facilitates connections and empowers young women who are courageously overcoming the social and emotional challenges of being diagnosed with cancer across Canada. Pink Pearl was founded by Elise Gasbarrino, as she found there was a lack of programs specifically designed for women when she was going through her cancer diagnosis in her twenties. All programs are intended for women who identify as female between the ages of 18-40. To date, the organization has supported over 3,000 young women across Canada and continues to develop innovative programs that supports young women from the comfort of their own homes.

I am so proud and excited to support this incredible initiative alongside through our Winemaker’s Virtual Tasting on August 18th 🥂

Ouuuuu this warm weather is making me THIRSTY!

Luckily we've just launched our NEW spring 🥂🍷 selections with Fielding Estate Winery - in support of a non-profit that is very near and dear to my heart, Safe Transitions. 🤍

Safe Transitions was founded in 2020 by my new friend Joanna MacDonald. Her goal is to help survivors of domestic violence and human trafficking transition into a new stage of life, by connecting overcrowded shelters with vacant properties in the GTA. 💪

Working with Yuliana and Joanna from Safe Transitions over the past 6 months has been a very moving and eye opening experience.

They work tirelessly to make a REAL impact in our community, and I am excited to share more about them and the incredible things they have been up to!

Sip Well Do Good will donate 50% of our profits from the wine packs/cases shown on our website to Safe Transitions throughout this campaign.

This morning I received a bill for Sip Well’s yearly web hosting & domain renewal - my initial instinct was to wince at another business expense 😝💰 but I changed my thought process quickly and decided to celebrate the fact that I have been in SWDG mode for an entire trip around the sun! 🥂⁠

This week last year, Sip Well Do Good was just a little idea to collaborate with a local winery on a one time fundraiser...⁠ I came up with the name and made sure I purchased the domain before I had the chance to chicken out. ⁠
⁠
A year later it has blossomed into something much bigger than I had originally hoped for. ⁠
⁠
A year later I have taken Sip Well through the Laurier Startup Bootcamp and CSI’s Social Entrepreneurship courses, all the nitty gritty's with incorporation, launched our first successful campaign in November, and am now gearing up to launch campaign number two with some more incredible partners!⁠

Instead of cursing that yearly subscription, I decided to see it as a mile marker for my first year in the making, during the most “unprecedented” year of our lives... ⁠
