God loves it when we talk with Him and tell Him what we need! He is a good Father who always wants the best for us. But sometimes our prayers aren’t answered right away because we ask with the wrong motives. Sometimes what we ask for isn’t what is best for us. Do you have a prayer that hasn’t been answered? Keep praying and keep seeking his best for you.

In Mark 5 Jesus heals the demon-possessed man. Isn't it interesting that Jesus didn't allow the man to come with him to be his disciple and learn more about being a Christ-follower? Instead, he sent this man out to tell others his story. When was the last time you told someone what Jesus has done in your life?

Spiritual drowsiness or numbness happens to all of us. It happens little by little, day by day. The good news is we can wake up! But it won't happen unless we *actively fight* against the things that drain away our time and steal our intimacy with Jesus.

Living in a sin-filled world isn't easy, as everyone who practices sin also practices lawlessness, ignoring God's law. But thanks to Jesus Christ, who died for our sins and gave us the power through the Holy Spirit to stand against it.

Being filled by the Holy Spirit might manifest as special abilities to preach the Gospel or deliver a message under the Spirit's power. It can also appear as speaking in an unknown language that praises God, or performing signs, miracles, and wonders. Understanding it and keeping it simple for the glory of God, empowers us to believe, receive and do.

On the day of Pentecost, about 120 disciples received the Holy Spirit for the first time. Fifty days after Jesus’ ascension, they received the Holy Spirit. They believed, and therefore, they received the promise—a power never experienced before.
