Layering is when you apply one essential oil at a time, allowing them to dry between applications. This method allows each oil to shine and gives you a unique pure-fume throughout the day, slowly changing as each layer comes through.

Blending is when you combine essential oils, either by mixing them beforehand in a bottle or by rubbing them together once they have been applied to the skin. This method also provides a beautiful fragrance, but it does not provide the same ever-changing experience.
