Aspen. Not plural. Not Aspens. Because they are one tree connected underground. The visible tree appears separate. Not so. Same roots shared.
In nature, the greatest illusion? Separation.
Nothing is separate.
All natural life, humans as well, is connected.

We traverse this world in denial, creating an illusion of understanding, pretending that we are in control of our existence. We are no more than a leaf in the stream, carried downriver through our lives.

This effect is easily achieved.

In a decaying society, art, if it is truthful, must also reflect decay. And unless it wants to break faith with its social function, art must show the world as changeable. And help to change it.

The homeless reside among chess game tables in the shadow of the court of the fictional law of humanity. Victims in the game of self-imposed restrictions and artificial scarcity. Denied access to housing that is vacant and abundant. The monetary system defined by the resulting symptoms.

Capture through the window of an antique shop of art.
These images are not very good, mostly because they are the first frame of a newly loaded film roll. Also they are not digitally enhanced or generated by artificial intelligence (AI). They are scans of 35mm film images developed in a local film lab.
The latest development in AI generated images is coming soon to a Meta app such as this one. This raises some concerns in the community of photography, both for camera manufacturers and photographers, for obvious reasons.
There is value in AI for use in areas of science and health care and the like. But not here. And not in the arts.
