Rachel Mellon Skemp was well-liked, thrived in school, & exuded positivity everywhere she went. Even with a tumultuous home life (at times), she seemed to have a glow about her. On January 31, 1996 — Rachel stayed home from school, only to mysteriously vanish by mid-day. Rachel has not been seen or heard from since. 🌡️🛏️💔

EPISODE 156– Spooky RE-RELEASE from last October 👻 Thanks again for your understanding, listens, & support!
Again this is a delayed post… but here’s the description from this episode’s show notes: IT’S SPOOKY SEASON GUYS & GHOULS!!! If you’ve been listening long enough, you know how much we love this time of the year. So to be super festive, we’re bringing back the eerie.
This week we’re covering the story of Slender Man (aka Slendy) and the horrifying depictions that come along with him. Creature? Shadow? Human? How could a legend evolve into a murder plot of the most devious and disturbing kind? Listen in closely to find out… & maybe keep a light on. 🌲🔦👀
This week’s coffee was “Grand Prix” from Barista Parlor 🤍
EPISODE 155 is another RE-RELEASE. This was month 9 of my pregnancy and I was exhausted and trying to slow down a bit (since I hadn’t until then, along with running on fumes). I tried my best to still post something for you, even if that *something* wasn’t a brand new episode!
In one of the most perplexing cases yet— this week we covered the story of the Mary Morris Murders. Two horrific crime scenes. Four days apart. Similar case details. Not to mention, two women with the SAME NAME. There are sooo many questions and not nearly enough answers. ❓🤷🏻♀️😱
This week’s coffee was “Peru” from and 🧡
Playing catch-up on posts while I can ✨
EPISODE 154– This week’s episode was a RE-RELEASE and came with a TRIGGER WARNING ⚠️
What do you get when you combine fire, murder, money, and a bat-sh*t crazy human with a pig farm? This. Episode. Let’s take you back to the early 1900’s... when searching for a husband in the personal ads was apparently a thing (at least in this story anyway), and people were going missing left and right across the U.S. If you’ve never heard of the crimes committed by Belle Gunness— you’re going to want to give this week’s episode a listen. Atrocious doesn’t even begin to describe it. 📰🔥🐖
This week’s coffee was our “Mourning Brew” collab blend with and an iced “Honey Cinnamon Latte” from Cloveberry 🤎
EPISODE 153 came with a TRIGGER WARNING ⚠️
Peter Morin aka The Chameleon spent decades committing crimes... and 12 years (that we know of) taking the lives of others. Between living a transient lifestyle and going by a multitude of aliases, he evaded authorities and suspicion of certain crimes for years. Manipulative, cunning, and elusive — he found ways to ensnare those around him, with no regards to human life. Listen in to hear not his story... but the story of the lives that were taken and/or affected by Morin, as well as his eventual capture. 🎭🦎💔
This week’s coffee recipe was “Brown Sugar Apple” iced coffee 🍎
It’s BABY SHOWER WEEK!!! 🦇🎃🤍

CCC will be back with a new episode for next week’s podcast!
In 2006– a night at the bar with friends, evolved into a massive mystery. The disappearance of Brian Shaffer is baffling, devastating, and ongoing. Where could this med student have gone? EPISODE 149– This week’s episode was a RE-RELEASE because the week turned out to be very unpredictable and LOUD NOISES!
This episode dives into the drug rehab turned cult. Synanon began in the late 50’s-early 60’s, and grew to be a nightmare for most that attended. From shaved heads, to attack therapy, to a fleet of 400 motorcycles and an airstrip, Synanon became very well known to California residents. But no cult starts out as a “cult”! Find out how this rehab program on the beach was later twisted into something horrific! 🌊🏍️🛫

Nancie Carolyn Walker was a bright light & a beautiful soul, who LOVED to dance. When she disappeared in Chicago in 2003- the worst was assumed by her family, but her case was sadly not taken seriously. That was until weeks later, when nothing but foul play could be suspected. Nancie is one of the many black women who have met a tragic end, only to have her story bypassed in the media. The epidemic of violence, & in specific- violence against black and indigenous women- is very real and can be witnessed through Nancie’s story. 💃🏾❓💔
