Last week was really special - these photos make me smile wide and I feel honored I get to know these folks, love their music, their output, their words and make music and have evenings like this - If you don’t know - do yourself a favor and take a listen while you sip something delicious and put your feet up - if you want to feed your mind and your heart and your ears - listen to and if you wanna be shocked about where he climbed on top of next - peep instagram for the latest building he’s scaled and lived to tell the tale - and me ain’t bad either - playing with Cory 🎺was the highlight of my night 👌 and many thanks to .huggins.art the artist behind this gorgeous piano that was at the center of our evening

The countdown begins! we officially kick off 🥳 2023 in 10 days!!! TODAY we throw it back to 2015! The very first time we had a big kickoff concert at the - this was the first year of 10 incrediblely painted/designed pianos by artists, design firms, muralists, makerspaces and creatives from our fair city - We brought them all together to marvel in the art and the work and the glorious music before we sent them out across Portland - I can’t wait to return to this courtyard July 7th 7pm - The first time since 2019 we’ll be back in our favorite spot -We’ll see you there!

Yes! In case you guessed it - we are coming back to the for our kickoff concert this summer 🥳 Save the date for July 7th at 7pm - we will be there with 10 new pianos from amazing Portland artist, performers, speakers, our piano passports and more - we can’t wait to see you! as always - we’ll save a few spots for our audience - so come on down and throw your name in the hat to perform with us!

Hello World! we are alive!! we are coming out of hibernation to say hello 👋👋 & celebrate by sharing a few of our favorite pianos - especially this one of our dearest Darcelle - legend of Portland - this piano belonged!!! to Darcelle - and friends of ours turned it into Darcelle herself - along with a couple of other favorite moments of us and our pianos - if you subscribe to our newsletter - which you should! you can learn the whole story behind this piano - and how our artists paid full homage to our lady 🤩 stay tuned for many exciting announcements and dates to save! in the meantime - tell us your favorite memory - where do you wanna see pianos this summer? are you an artist who wants to paint one? let us know my dears!

The kind of feedback that makes my heart swell and reminds me of why I do everything I can to make this project happen every summer - I know moments like these happen every summer but I don’t always hear about them - i wish i could be at every piano at every moment - a little fly on the wall knowing/seeing the magical & healing connections that are created around these pianos - thanks to Colin for letting me know about a special one ✨🎹🙌🏼

A few weeks ago / we said goodbye to this incredible piano with a very special performance from and her lovely band ( okay - full disclosure - I’m also in that band 👋🏼 but I swear everyone couldn’t be a more lovely human and talented musician ) she played her beautiful piano driven songs while we played and listened inside Philip Krohn’s beautiful installation To The River 🌊 - which is a contemplation on space, found objects and materials and a delightful sound installation - also - it just looks real real good and feels transformative to walk thru the massive wooden arched hallway to get to this circular spot - this installation is still happening so we highly encourage you to get down to Zidell Yards to find and experience it - sadly our piano will no longer be there as it has found a forever indoor home now that we ( someday?! ) will be heading into our wet season - two more pianos remain for you! Mississippi Records and Alberta Street Pub - so go play now 🎹⚡️💯

Hello Sweet Piano Lovers -

We are having one very special piano event to end our summer 2022 season -
We will be hosting Portland Based - piano centered - singer/songwriter Robin Bacior and her band at our Chet Malinow piano down in the south waterfront - her music is beautful and touching -

It is all a part of a beautiful sound installation from AUXART and we will be set up with a REAL PIANO within this piece - what could get any better?
