Where in the galaxy is our Matcha Whip pin? The fields of Sorgan? Perhaps a return to Ossus or Tython? Most importantly, do they have other Dole Whip there?
With the right motivation, Blue Whip can find a Tropical Hideaway anywhere.
Looks like this little one has fallen into the deadly nightshade...

Happy Monday
Got up this morning and saw this... the labels were falling off. Guess that's what we get for using washi tape as labels. They are really nice washi tape lol. Solution?! Good old tape! At least it will do for now until the next best labeling thing comes to mind.

Day 31 - coming soon
We recently sold out on our rubber magnet pinbacks. We are over the moon. So coming soon there will be a restock!
Are there other colours to would like to see in these rubber backs?
Day 30 - Nice Words
We love getting reviews in our shop. It brings us joy to know that our creations are giving smiles to everyone. We find that sometime our day isn't going great and a little review will sometime pops up and it will just made our day. Thank you to everyone who been so supportive of our shop and leaving us a review.
Day 28 - Adapt
We can talk about adapting till the cows come home. π
One big part of adapting is having a preliminary idea go through design process and production. Sometime that thin line looks great on screen but can run into issues when creating the pin...that very line could be too thin that the metal cannot be cut or sand down. So we would need to adapt another way to keep that line. It could mean to make it thicker without losing the over all look. Or because the line is fine we may consider screenprinting. Being able to adapt means we welcome mistakes and learn from them.
Day 16 - Highs & lows
One of our highs as pin makers has been the success of our first Kickstarter project. Way back in 2020 there was a little thing that happened to the entire world. We figured it would last 5 to 6 months, tops, and we wanted to show our appreciation to all the hardworking healthcare services battling a mysterious virus. Around that time WDW had just debuted a new ride featuring the cutest little bird and Chuuby's Tribute to Essential Guardians was born. It was extremely humbling at first to realize most people were not onboard with our idea and yet somehow we managed to sneaked past the initial goal and all of our stretch goals. We were able to see an entire collection into fruition.
Day 14 - Big or small
Deciding on the size of a pin or sticker usually gets boiled down to big, or small?
Even the mailers, business cards and thank you notes all get these considerations. In making pins, the emphasis of details within the pin is very important. In some cases what can be feasibly done with molds or what techniques can make designs legible could automatically bump the size from small to big. If you're committed to the smaller size, as we were with our Sleeping Sailor Guardian mini pins, concessions were made. It was a a small compromise on the original design that gave us big results.
Day 13 - Planning
We love a plan. A dinner plan. A Disney plan. A pin plan with stickers. As a pin shop, we do a lot of planning for posts, sales, hypotheticals for market stalls, etc. Our current plans are based in future designs. Since we both love having an agenda/daily planner we tend to update many things to our shared drive. The most important things we've discovered through planning are fluid deadlines. Much like placing multiple alarms for waking up in the morning; it doesn't matter how we get it all to work, what matters is that it does
Day 10 - Recharge
Taking time to unwind and do a "recharge". Can't say we have a lot of spare opportunities but we try. We each try our best to make time for running our shop but also for our families, friendships and ourselves. We've discovered the easiest way for us to recharge together is to share a meal and a drink or three.
Independently, Trinket spends afternoons with her family baking, playing Lego, seamstressing and visiting festivals and farms around town. Vine enjoys watching tv, organizing her comic collection, getting massages, reading the same five books over again and checking the wait times of her favourite Disney rides throughout the day. Definitely not the dictionary definition of rest but we make the moment count.
Day 6 - Start the Day
Hello Friends!! Vine here ππΎ. You'll be stuck with me for the next several days. SIGH.
I am not a morning person. But it is Monday (again!) and I do not work from home, so off to work I go.
Waking up to start the day usually means being on my phone for at least 10 mins before actually rising. I am the pop culture ju**ie in this pin shop duo and I must know what is taking place on Blue Ivy's internet.
Then begins the wake up and clean up and dress up regimen (matching socks optional). All while listening to a few short form news podcasts (s/o to NPR) to catch up on the world and anything I missed during sleepytime.
And then it's time for coffee. Mildly sweet, full cream and sustaining coffee. Trinket doesn't much like coffee or tea so I'm not sure how she functions but as a creature of habit, I run on a strict diet of Disney and coffee. Now, I would love to wake early (ha.ha.) to go and get the good stuff from a coffee shop but we "ballin' on a budget" so instant is the way. Finally, I pack my lunch and then I'm off into the world. Have a great day everyone!
I hope that wasn't too much insight into my craziness π
We are away.
Our etsy shop will be open. If there any order comes in from Mar 5 to 25, they will be processed after 25. Sorry for the delay and we appreciate your patience.
Day 2 - All About You
Welcome to our page, Trinket+Vine.
We are two friends who turned our love of Disney and pin trading into a small shop on Etsy.
Together we have designed pins and a few stickers based on combining fandoms and ideas we enjoy. While we're both avid Disney Adults it is only the starting line to our geeky ways.
Our regular day jobs brought us together but our shared interests made us friends. Being able to focus on the shop during the pandemic was mutually beneficial to our lives and kept us creating. Truthfully, it can be difficult to fit everything into our busy work and home schedules, we love it.
Additional we are based in Vancouver, BC which is an endless source of beauty when we need outdoor inspirations.
Anyway.... Nice to meet you
Hi World! We made the spontaneous decision to participate in this year's for 2023. We're gonna try our best to keep up with the daily prompts and let you get to know us better. Special thanks to the originator for putting this together for the community. Let's get started!
Day 1 - Brand Origin
We are Trinket+Vine, a small fantasy pin shop based in Vancouver, BC, Canada. The entire idea for our shop was built out of friendship and coincidental shared fandom obsessions.
Our name and logo are an acronym/initialism made from a combination of our irl names. It is also a representation of our shared love for Disney, nature and tchotchkes. All logos, like the majority of our works, are hand-drawn by .
Trinket managed to combine all three ideas in the final logos that we use everywhere. A key to signify trinkets and beginnings, a hair comb that resembles a favourite character, and connected on the length of a twisty ivy vine.
While we use the name version on our backing cards and thank you notes, most often we use the shorter version of our name "T+V" as it is also the symbol etched on the back of all our pins.
We hope that our logo and brand illustrates just how inclusive, welcoming and nerdy we are.
Thanks for reading and stopping by!
This wasn't green tea at Oga's Cantina but we have to bring out matcha whip (Grogo inspired Dole whip pin) to Galaxy Edge.
We had a blast there and wish we were back there again.
