For this month’s free pattern, I am going to show you how to make a crochet puff stitch flower. These beautiful little textured flowers look gorgeous as a single flower on a hair clip or string a collection together as I have to make a handmade crochet necklace. Each flower only takes a few meters of yarn (perfect for stash busting) and you can mix and match colours and textures to make the flower truly unique.

WIP Wednesday.
At the beginning of the year I set myself a target to make myself a crochet long cardigan / coat with fine yarn. The Juniper coat has been on my list for years so back in January I started my first motifs. Now I'm just over half way there and I am loving the progress so far. Just about another 100 or so motifs to go. What do you think?
After many requests I have created a Crochet Rose Granny Square pattern for you. The perfect mix between crochet and flowers. To make the flower pop from the granny square I have created a 3D design, ensuring the Queen of all the flowers is standing proud. You can use this granny square on a huge range of projects from blankets, clothing or scarves.

Can not wait to start April!
Day 25 Starting Point
Moara Crochet Designs was created when I reached the point of advanced beginner in the crochet world. I started like many of us with quick easy projects such as scarfs, granny square blankets and some amigarumi projects. But then I wanted to push myself and create beautiful crochet clothing.
Over a few years I spent my time searching for the crochet items I wanted to make. I would fall in love with beautiful crochet garments I would find online I’d say to myself, ‘This is me, I need to crochet this!’. I would get very excited thinking of the end result and be happy to invest many hours, days and sometimes even weeks into these projects. Then one of either two things would happen, the pattern was not available, it is just a link to a beautiful image, or I would buy the pattern follow the instructions and the fit was too bulky. So in 2017 I decided to create my own crochet patterns and started to make the crochet clothing that I wanted to wear. Since starting I have created a range of crochet patterns for both women and children from crochet bikinis to crochet dresses.
Day 18 Colour
2 years ago I decided to turn my little crochet idea into a real business but was unsure how to create a beautiful brand. With the help of book, I followed each step to create a brand image that worked for Moara. My colour pallet is rooted from timeless natural earthy colours from rich earthy greens and orange to indigo jean blues with calming neutral creams.
The Story

Within each of my crochet patterns I use traditional crochet techniques such as granny squares or a crochet mandala and I incorporated them into my own unique, modern designs which are elegant, feminine and most of all well fitted. Through my designs I aim to fill the gap for those who want to progress beyond the beginner level of crochet and go onto something more challenging. Each of my patterns are written with clear step by step crochet instructions, which include highly detailed photos and instructions to help you progress onto this next level of crochet, to create beautiful, crochet clothing with a bohemian twist that you will love year after year.
