Such great news !! Well done Handmade in Adelaide
We are proud to say that has won first prize at the Royal Adelaide Show
We worked long and hard for months planning our set up and was pleased with the outcome and to be reconised for our achievement is beyond amazing. We did not expect FIRST PRIZE... we thought maybe an 'achievement award'
Thank you to the Royal Adelaide Show for giving us the opportunity to showcase what Adelaide has to offer and helping us when it was needed.
Now wheres my crown?? Haha
Do you remember that super secret awesome project we have been working on with our Squad?
Well, Guess What?!?! HIA have a stall at the Royal Adelaide Show this year. You will find us in the Jubilee Hall at stand C052 in the fashion & beauty section.
We will have 3 local businesses involved in the space selling Soy Candles (by Whimsical Co), Succulents (by Sassy Succulents) & Skincare (by Soul Sense Natural Therapies).
But wait there's more.... Remember how I said you will be screaming "Shut up & take my money" well... if you take a look at the SNEAK PEEK photos you will notice those products dont fit in with the businesses above.... thats because HIA have put together a PRODUCT BAG with a value of $160+ full of totally awesome products from cosmetics, car diffusers, eye masks, coffee, tea, jewellery, edibles, childrens products and so much more and all are made by local ADELAIDE micro businesses for only $30 - WHAT, I KNOW!! 😮
Our Handmade In Adelaide Squad have given us 50 - 100 products so we have divided the products into two bags but here's the kicker. We will ONLY have 100 bags (50 of each bag) making them LIMITED EDITION so you will need to get in quick before they all go.
Want to know more and want to see a picture of what is in the bags? Keep checking back here for all the deets. 🤡🎆🎠🎡🎢

And with leaps and bounds , Zachary kept thriving and smashing goals by putting on weight and he decided to pull out his nasal gastric tube one day and I decided that was it, he took to drinking milk slowly and was soon drinking like a champ , it was magical seeing his beautiful face without the Ng tube and being able to kiss his fat little cheeks
Thank you everyone for liking our son's page but please share it to all your friends and remember if anyone's child going into hospital tell him about us

Then we were home, such a massive shock, as much as it was what we had being yearning for, I was so scared, I had the doctors , nurses and machines all around me and now my safety net was gone but you know what ?? Zachary was a dream baby, still a bit grumpy but so settled and happy to be home with no one but mummy and daddy to poked and prod on him,our life was full of appointments but so exciting as we were now a family with 2 beautiful kids, from day 1 , Wayne and I had decided not to let our lives be defined by Zachary's heart condition, we were a normal family that just had a couple of extra things that we needed to do .
In the 1st picture,Zachary still had a nasal gastric tube , Ethan loved sitting with him and watching tv
A video of him chatting to me
In the 3rd picture because he was tube feed, he didn't like bottles, so our cardiologist recommended a sippy cup
********WINNER!!!!! WINNER!!!!!!********
As you all know we have being running a competition to celebrate Heart Awareness Month, the winner of a Zachary's Legacy Gown is Ari !!! Jasonvan Huynh and Nikkita Lehmann , congratulations, please contact me to organise your choice of gown and once again congratulations
After 4 and half months in Melbourne, we heard the D word ( discharged) so many emotions at once, excitement, fear, hope to name a few, we were so excited to be going home and to be a family again and so scared not to have all the doctors and nurses around who had become our safety blanket, the light at the end of the tunnel had finally appeared, Zachary was home, our family was together again and finally we were able to be "normal" parents. These are the 1st photos taken after we got home. (Zachary came home with a nasal gastric tube, which he hated and constantly tried to pull out)
So after a really rocky time between his first and second operations ( we spent 11 weeks in icu) we finally made it to the ward and my dear darling son decided that he was old enough to stay up late and watch tv, around this time we were asked by the herald sun to feature Zachary's story for the Good Friday Appeal, what started out as a small bit in the paper, ended up with him being featured on the front page, typical Zachary, he never did anything by halves 😊
************COMPETITION HALFWAY MARK*******

So after a rocky Norwood operation ( which is the 1st of the 3 operations required for single ventricle children) and me asking every day when I was going to hold him as all I got to see was his beautiful face when he was born and rushed away, the most magical Christmas present was given to us, our first cuddle with a very grumpy Zachary and our first family photo , there were so many emotions present on this day, gratefulness for Zachary being here, excitement, love and joy at our first cuddle ❤❤❤❤
